I think you still may get some credit if they use your coupon code with another sitter. It worked that way before - I haven't checked recently - but yes, they can use it with anyone.

Its your customers choice to use your coupon. I'm not sure it matters whose coupon code they use. I always just let them know they are free to use it with any sitter.

When I am unable to help a client I usually try to find another sitter in the area who fits their specifications. Through Rover.com I send the other sitter's name, town and Zip code, all easily visible through a Rover search. For example, "Try Susie S, Hillsboro (54667)" - (I totally made that person up.)

At this time there is no direct sitter-to-sitter referral option, but that has been brought up numerous times on this board and I am confident (without any proof) it is being looked into as I write.

Bradley is correct, you cannot send your code through Rover's online messaging. You can email it to a personal email address if one is provided.

Rover doesn't allow you to share your coupon code through the onsite messaging. I think the purpose of this is to encourage sitters to use their codes to find new customers outside of the Rover website and bring them in versus handing out their code to anyone who contacts them online.

If you personally know the customer, the best thing to do is to give them a business card in person that has your personal coupon code on it, then provide them with the link to the sitter's profile that you are referring them to.
