Having issues with the map not working on Rover Cards. Anyone else?

I have had problems with Rover Cards not wanting to send to clients multiple times in the past, but they eventually send. Recently though, I have had an issue with the map function not working. I will finish a walk, look at the card before I send it, and realize that even though the timer is going it says we have walked 0 miles and there is nothing on the map. Now I have read people say to make sure your GPS is on but I have never had a problem before. (I've never actually turned it on, but the Rover Card maps have always worked). Any suggestions? I have contacted Rover Support and wasn't told much.

The Rover map/GPS is way off. It works on and off and is not working correctly. I notified my clients and told them this GPS is not working right. I needed them to understand this Rover app just doesn't even track the way I walk. I do the same trail every time, and every time I get different mileage

Hi Jenni: Have you tried logging out of the app, and then logging back in? Sometimes that works as a reset for me, especially after an update. Also, the GPS gets a little wonky for me when I'm walking in rural areas or on trails...the GPS will "lose me" and reactivate several times during the walk. When that happens, I make note of it in the comments section before sending the Rover card.

I didn't think of logging out and back in. I'll definitely try that. And any time this has happened to me I've never been in a rural area (in or near Brown Deer) and I typically walk just in suburbs/neighborhoods. Thanks!

I figured out how to fix this issue! Go into your location settings where you give apps permission. Change the Rover permissions to "Use location all the time" and NOT "Only use location while app is in use". Now it accurately tracks my walks!

Just did this, fingers crossed! Will see tomorrow. Thanks!

I've seen poor maps more frequently, so I log out and back in and that usually corrects the problem. The problem appears to be intermittent as some days I get good maps on most walks and poor maps on others.

Are you leaving wifi when walking and not using a phone with data?

Just began with Rover and am having this issue. It worked only once. Even the timer was a problem and would not turn off. So the map and distance are not showing at all. I have tried all the above what now?
