This could be due to lots of things, including dehydration or allergies. I would bet though that during the winter months, it's likely due to the dry cold air! There are plenty of soothing balms that work on pup noses and paws during harsh weather.

This can be a sign of dehydration, extreme heat exposure, allergies, or a skin condition. Make sure your dog is getting enough water. See if you can notice any environmental factors that are causing the dry nose to determine allergies to plastic, food, etc. Make changes/remove potential causes one at a time so you can figure out what is what and check w/your vet if you need help. You can also find balms for their noses at the pet store if they're in the sun or spend time near a heater/warm blowing air.
