My dog likes to dig at our carpet for no apparent reason and I can't figure out if this is because he likes the carpet or hates the carpet. Maybe its not about the carpet at all? But the carpet does pay the price for this strange behavior so I'd like to know why!!
HI Lizzy: My dog does this too! There are various reasons why dogs dig/scratch up carpeting, and I'm linking an interesting read below. My dog digs/scratches our carpet when he has pent up energy....like when the weather is really bad and he hasn't been on his run (he's a hunting dog that needs to run every day).
