How long can i leave my dog in a crate?

Leaving a dog in the crate really depends on their age. For instance if the dog is 5 months then its a 5 hour maximum. However I would never go longer than 8 hours in the crate because that might make your dog stressed and encourage them to try to escape the crate or destroy what is in it!

I think 8 hours is the most! While working or doing errands! More than 8 hours is too much and I really think 8 hours is way to much!
The general rule of thumb is one hour per month of age for young puppies until potty trained (3 months, no more than 3 hours). Depending on activity level and water consumption, normal adult dogs should not be left crated more than 6-8 hours without relief. For seniors, less time.
