Why is my profile hidden in search results?

I am trying to find a sitter in the price range of 15 to $25 in Omaha Nebraska. However every time I enter in the same information I don't get all of the results. For example sometimes I will put it down for dog walking and the same a different person will pop up who also does dog boarding but did not show up in the previous results. I've gone looking for MY profile and it won't show. Why is this? Can you fix this please?

P. S. It's not because of the dates. Their profile will also say they are available for those dates. I don't specify house verses if they have pets.

If a sitter's calendar is booked for a particular service, or they are only taking current clients or are in an away status, they will not show up in results for that service even though they list the service in their profile. The Available Flag is not always a guarantee they are available.

No.......that's not it. The reason I *know* that's not correct is because I will log out, and do a search. And my name won't show up. My calender is open for the dates, I offer that service yet I dont come up in the search results.

You have your service radius set to small that's why you don't show up for walks and..... I drilled on the map and found you change it here https://www.rover.com/account/profile/service-preferences/

O! You're right! Thank you very much!!

It's tough to set a small service area and also tough with too large an area. When I became a walker I set mine at 10 miles---well 10 miles is a lot of territory to cover. I'm fully booked all the time but I drive 40+ miles a day

Right. I'm okay with large service area for dog sitting or home sitting. I didn't want large area though for dog walking or drop in because it wouldn't be worth it .....

Having a small area doesn't hurt boardings much, but walks it will eliminate you from searches, as you found out. I'm now at 3 miles, but I have 6 recurring clients now for 7 months that keep me busy

That makes sense! Thanks
