TICK REMOVAL:

Using blunt tipped tweezers, grasp the tick near your pet's skin and pull straight away from the tick's head...gently but firmly. Dispose of the tick by flushing down the toilet. If you are concerned about Lyme disease, save the tick in a plastic bag or bottle, and bring it to your vet for further testing. After the tick has been removed, make sure the bite area is clean, and apply anti-bacterial ointment (like Neosporin) to the affected area.

You can also cover the tick in Neosporin several times and then in 1-2 days the tick will die and you can easily remove it. This works for human also
