How do I get the word out about myself?

I have been signed up for Rover for nearly a month now and I still have not received any requests in my inbox for dog sitting or walking. What can I do?

Hi Sarah:

Welcome to Rover!

To answer your question - Advertise! Have you completed passed Rover 101 yet? If so, you are eligible for 100 free business cards from the Rover store. Once you get them, pass them out around your service area....local pet supply stores, groomers, vet clinics, etc. You can also advertise online on your local area's buy/sell/trade pages on Facebook, or your area's Next Door page. You can also purchase post cards from the Rover store and put them in newspaper boxes in targeted neighborhoods. You can create tear off ads and hang them in grocery stores, community center boards, and any restaurants/coffee shops that have boards for free advertising.

I hope that helps - good luck!

How do you get your free cards? I looked and I don't see a free option? Please help?

Once you get the Rover 101 badge, Rover should email you with the free 100 cards offer (including a promo code for the free cards). If they haven't done so, give Rover Support a call at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team].

It takes awhile sometimes to get that first client. I looked at your profile and see that you only offer housesitting, drop in visits and walking. That may be one reason you haven't gotten a lot of requests yet. Many owners using Rover I have found are looking for boarding for their pets. I have been listed on Rover for 2 years and have only had a few requests for house sitting and drop in visits, but I have received many requests for boarding. I understand you may not be able to do boarding, but that may be a reason you're not getting requests. And it depends on the number of sitters in your area. Be patient, it may just take some time.
