Clarify extended stay pricing?

Hello amigos, I'm new to Rover and I'm trying to figure out extended stay pricing. When I go in to set rates, it has # of Days x $ per day. What should I put in the Days box? As in, does that number indicate what I think is an extended stay (eg if I put in 14 would that indicate I can only do 14 days at a time), or does that number mean "after 14 days it's considered an extended stay"? How are other sitters interpreting this? It's not clear to me. TIA

Extended days depend on the sitter. If you aren't offering different pricing for extended stays, you don't have to worry about it. For some sitters, they'll offer a discount for an extended stay. For example, anything over 5 days, 7 days, 10 days, etc. would get whatever pricing (say $5 below the norm for example) for the extended stay. Other sitters require a higher rate for extended stays (like with house sitting) so an extended stay longer than __ days would cost more for the client; so the price would be entered as a higher rate than their regular rate. Walkers may offer a discount for extended stays (like a 10 day stay of one walk per day would have a discount applied). Once X amount of days hit the extended stay time, all days in that stay are charged by the extended stay rate, unless you manually adjust the rate yourself.
To keep it simple, say you charge $10 per day and have an extended stay discount of $2 after 5 days, the client wants a 7 day stay, so they would be charged $8 per day for the 7 day stay.

So for example if I put 10 days in the box, that would mean after 10 days I consider it an extended stay?

Correct. and then EVERY day of the stay would be charged whatever amount you decide upon for your Extended Stay Rate.

gotcha. So it's one rate for all 10 days. Not, 10 days it's one price then on day 11 it's another. I don't know why that's so hard for me to understand! lol

I am struggling with the extended stay also but I think this cleared it up haha

Extended stay rate is the 2-8 hr difference from drop off to pick up, ie. Drop off mon at 10a Pick up wed noon or after there is a 2 hr difference extended rate is added to the standard rate. This is my understanding

Personally, I prefer and have an easier time sitting so my nightly rate is $25/night, while boarding is $30/night. SO, my extended rate for sitting and boarding both drop $5, BUT sitting drops after over 3 nights and boarding after over 5 nights.
