Is there ever a discount from the sitters to a 15 day boarding? Is the set price a rover.com policy?

I am going away for 15 days and wonder if the sitters take a discount to a long stay? Is this a http://rover.com policy?

Rover has no policy on this matter. The sitters are all independent and do not work for Rover. They set their own rates. Some may offer you a discount or you can ask once you settle on a sitter. Check their rate schedules and you will see if they automatically offer extended stay discounts.

Also, if this the first time you are using Rover, Rover has a coupon code and you'll get x amount off. Ask the sitter for his/her code, which you would enter when paying for an engagement.

One last thing, if your booking is during a holiday period, don't be surprised if no discount is given. These are peak booking times.

This varies for each sitter. Some (a rare few, but some) actually charge more per day for extended stays like that. Those aside, it's about 50/50. Some do discount for long stay, some do not as it doesn't change the amount of work done per day. They liken it to the idea that you wouldn't work mon-thur for a certain wage and give your employer a discount (such as half your wage) for the ability to work Friday. Obviously, everyone wants to save money, but these are people caring for your dog, not a sweater on sale at the mall. I am willing to pay well for quality care. Something to keep on mind, besides which sitters offer an extended stay discount.

I fall in the middle. For a new client, I generally don't unless a rare situation. For returning clients with easy dogs, I don't mind a couple dollars off per day.
