I am looking for a regular walker twice a week for my dog. Do I just have to keep booking every week with Rover? Also, what do people do as far as giving the walker keys to your place if you are using multiple walkers?

Want to find a regular walker and not sure how to go about giving access to my home if i have multiple walkers

Hi, Beverly. Welcome to Rover! As far as booking goes, I think that booking your dates on a weekly basis is a good idea, that way it's easier to budget and you're not shelling out a whole month's worth of walks at once! How I go about this with a regular client of mine is my client will send me her schedule month by month and each Sunday I set up a new reservation for the days that she needs that week and we both confirm it she pays at that time. Also, it prevents the issue of refunds/cancellations in case something comes up. For your key dilemma, I would suggest using a key lock box, similar to this one that can be find on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-54...7053360111_14?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1475106194&sr=1-14 or having a copy made for each of your walkers if you intend to use more than one. I've also had one client who hid the key outside somewhere on the back patio (such as in the grill) and put a lock on the exterior of the gate so that I could just go through the gate to get to the key without having to keep their key. Otherwise, if you have a garage code that they could use, that would work, too (the only downside there is in the event of a storm/electricity outage, they may not be able to access the house). I hope this helps!

I agree with using a key locl box, but hopefully you'll find one sitter you'll want to stick with so not constantly trying to find a new walker and make your pup have to get to know a new person every week.. Good luck!:)

Many of my clients are now using the recurring booking feature for dog walks. They set up the days (Tues / Thurs for example) and are billed weekly on Monday. The days that I don't walk / don't submit a Rover card, I am not paid and the client is refunded. The clients can cancel / modify the booking at any time. As for the keys, it really depends. I am the sole walker for most of my clients. Some I get keys from, others I get garage codes from.
I have one client that uses a couple of us and she leaves a key each time. I think a lock box would he safer.

All the best! :)

Moureene, I have had clients ask me about booking a recurring walk for each week but they cannot find the option and it wont let me modify it from my end. Is there something I am missing? They just schedule me every week because they cant pay $300 up front for that many weeks of walks. Help!
