What happens if a sitter no shows?

To answer your question, yes, there is a backup plan in place set up by Rover for emergency situations. It is called Rover Match and is a selective program where some sitters have been invited to sign up to basically be "on-call." If something were to happen to prevent your scheduled sitter from coming, then Rover would contact these on-call sitters to step in. If you'd prefer, you may want to call Rover and have them reach out to sitters for you so that you don't have to spend any more time looking and having cancellations. That is highly unprofessional and unacceptable behavior, and I can assure you that not all sitters are that irresponsible!
