What are your tips for replying to 4-5 star reviews?

I'm happy with the feedback I've received from clients, and would like tips for replying to online reviews. I've never ran a business, much less a public-facing business with open reviews. I can appreciate timeliness, personalizing, politeness, and professionalism are key, but am looking for the perspective of successful Rover sitters and experienced folks. I'd like to focus on the positive, but recommendations on what to avoid are welcomed. Thank you!

I don't respond to reviews. However, if someone writes a particularly great review, I send them a personal message to thank them.

I like your approach of making it person through messaging. Thanks for taking the time!

I keep it short and sweet only a sentence or two. Thank the client, say something nice about the pup -- that's it. What the client said is more important than your reply.

Short and sweet reply with a compliment to their dog. Mine are only 1 short sentence and I only do it as a way to let the client know I saw their review and appreciate it.
