Same thing happened to me -- I called and spoke to a representative who told me "99.9% of testimonials are set in stone" and that barring any atrocities it would not be possible to amend the testimonial. He also clarified that 'review' is the word for the number of stars you give, and 'testimonial' is the correct word for the verbiage. I am shocked by this feature of Rover and find it absurd. Hope they consider a change down the line.

There is no online edit function for reviews. Try calling Rover Support ([Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]) or email them with your changes at support@rover.com

If you use your sitter again, make sure to give her another review. It is better when you make each review a little different. All reviews are important.

I think it is much better that customers cant edit a review they wrote because for example the customer wants a “test” day and books it and thinks all went well and then plans for another stay a little time later , but if I didn’t like the dog because he was aggressive and I do not want to have him over again and tell that the owner , the owner could possibly edit the review to a bad one . It’s just unfair . I think rover protects customers too much but doesn’t help the sitters
