How do I get my previous client to leave me a review?

I already checked out the tips provided by the Rover blog. It already has been almost 2 or 3 weeks since I wrote to the client, but I still didn't get a review. How do I approach this without being too overbearing? Thank you in advance!

If it's been several weeks, I would just forget about it and move on. I've had several clients not leave reviews, even though I reminded them about it when they picked up their dog and I know Rover sent them a reminder email. Some people just don't like giving reviews in general. What I do is if I see that they haven't left a review in a week, I'll message them and just say, I really enjoyed my time with (dog name) and hope they enjoyed their time too. It would help me grow my business if you could leave a review of (dog name) stay with me. Thank you for trusting me, and I look forward to seeing you and (dog name) again.

The problem is that many clients won't open (or block) email from Rover once the visit is over. Or they lose that email from Rover.

We need a link we can send to a client that makes it easy for them to review the stay, along with our happy little messages.

I have had clients ask me before how to find it, get in there, figure it out and I think many just give up.

I should be able to look at little Babadook's stay, 1. see I have already reviewed, 2. see the owner has not reviewed, and then click a button that allows me to ask for a review with a personal message, and it will include a link for the owner to just click and review, then and there. PROBLEM SOLVED. Rover can perhaps limit how many times we can do this, so we do not become pests.

I'd like them to have to write something, not just stars, on a first review.

The telling people how to get to a place that makes the review easy is important. Especially if they have multiple visits with many people.

Hi, Skye. It looks like you already have 2 nice reviews on your profile from previous clients outside of Rover. If you are waiting to receive another review from a different client, since 2-3 weeks have gone by, perhaps send them a follow up asking if they are still willing to write you a review and include the link to do so. I think if they don't respond at that point, I would move on. The next step would be to receive a Verified Stay review from your first Rover client! After you finish your first stay, Rover will automatically prompt the owner to write you a review. These are a good addition to your profile, so that potential clients can see that other people on Rover have used and appreciated your services. Good luck!

Some clients never leave a review even with multiple prompts from Rover or yourself. Move on, get the next client to leave a review

It's a tough call, but I usually go the route of just trying really hard to provide excellent customer service and communication. If at the end, they don't leave a review, that's okay. You'll always have a few clients who are happy but won't leave a review. It's unrealistic to achieve a 100% review rate, and can feel awkward sometimes when you ask for one. More reviews will come your way as you establish yourself as a sitter :)

If you already reached out again requesting a review and they didn't do it, i'd personally just let it go. If you have their phone number maybe a last resort text message. But I wouldn't worry about it. If you have anyone you did before Rover or not through Rover like family & friends, you can also request they leave you a review. =)
