Are charges run through credit card services at the time of booking a sitter? If not when?
Your card is charged when you book the stay, and can be refunded in full up to a week before the start of the stay (or later, depending on the sitter's cancellation policy: see https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar... for more on that). Though you are charged as soon as the stay is booked, that money is not released to the sitter until 48 hours after the end of the stay. This allows the sitter to know that funds are available, but also gives both parties time to resolve any disputes before the funds are transferred.
