Can I be a sitter if I am an international student in the US/ not a US citizen?
I am currently doing my masters and have a valid student visa.

Do you have an EAD (employment authorization) and ITIN (individual taxpayer ID number, or an SSN which you're allowed to obtain after the EAD)?
You'd have to contact Rover. But, my guess is they require an SSN because they report your Rover earnings on a 1099. They may do an eVerify to check your eligibility to work.
Someone else asked about this a few days ago. If you contact Rover, please report back what they say. (If they require any of the above).

Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa is only allowed to work at their university unless it is part of their continual practical training or optional practical training related to their professional area of training.
