Hey Sitters, what's your favorite park for dog walks?

Especially interested in hearing from Sitters in bigger cities!

Another great Seattle park is Discovery Park. Huge closed off area right by the water, and I believe a large off leash area as well.

I am a huge fan of Green Lake Park here in Seattle, Washington. Lots of grass, other doggies to see and play with, and plenty of paved walkways as well. Always a new adventure opposed to your typical square doggie park!

In the Seattle area, Luther Burbank park on Mercer Island is awesome! There's an enclosed off-leash area and dogs are able to take a swim in the lake too.

South of Portland, there's a great park called Sellwood Park. Also, along the coast of Oregon, visit Cap Kiwanda for beach walks and ball chasing, and the Drift Creek Trail near Hwy 101 and Hwy 18.

In College Station, Texas, my favorite is Lick Creek Park south of town.

Mina, In the city of Portland my top picks are: 1) Mt. Tabor Park (in SE) 2) Washington Park (in SW) 3) Forrest Park (in NW) *Also not to be overlooked is 1000 acres dog park, it is truly an experience your dogs will thank you for and never forget! It's located right outside Portland in Troutdale.

For Portland, I love Washington Park/Forest Park/Hoyt Arboretum (all interconnected) for a nice bit of forest in the city. I also love Gabriel Park in SW Portland (has fenced summer and winter dog parks as well as a number of fields and trails for leashed activities). Sandy River Delta/1000 acres has a huge amount of space and good opportunities for water dogs. I also love taking the dogs hiking out in the Gorge or coast range, and I love taking them out to the beach to run around in areas like Oceanside or Pacific City.

Here in anchorage, Alaska, we love university lake dog park! It is a park with multiple fields fo play fetch in, and a trail that goes around the entire circumference of a lake. The dogs can run, swim, fetch, and really get the energy burned out.

In Chicagoland suburbs, Lakewood Dog Park in Lake County. I have parks much closer, but Lakewood is 68 acres of freedom. One side is open trails and the other side is all wooded walking trails. Plenty of friendly people, and picnic tables to gather at for socializing And a break from walking. Love that park!
