Does the house sitting rate include walks?

I'm booking a house sitting reservation for the first time. The rate shows as $29 for each dog per night. I'm assuming that includes all services, ie letting the dogs out and feeding them etc. Does it include day times walks? ie I normally charge for the 30 min walk if I were just doing that during the day. so do I add that on? Or just include it? Seems like I should then charge much more for house sitting.

Thanks Karen! Kellye- Yes, you may want to reconsider your rates and maybe review other sitters in the area. I think you'll find that most sitters charge a little more for house sitting in the dog's home than they dog boarding & daycare in their own home.

Yes, I do house sitting and my rates are higher than for boarding in my home or drop-in visits. My reasoning is that I am providing round the clock care for the dog just as I do in my home, but I am inconvenienced in that I'm not home and have to accept whatever accommodations and amenities are at the owner's home. I'm also indirectly providing home security for the owner in that their house will be occupied.

I would definitely check out other sitters' rates in your area to see what the average charge is.
