How many Rover sitters does the Rover Match? Is it worth the added amount?

Hi Stephanie, I signed up for Rover Match at the beginning of this year, as we are in a slower season. You still get the standard % on all clients that find you through searching sitter profiles. So, you really don't lose any money. It just means that any clients that are matched by calling in to Rover to get more help finding a match, there is a higher % withheld only on the first booking with that client for Rover's extra work. You don't have to accept Rover Match clients, but my thoughts are those clients may not have found you on an online Rover search for a variety of reasons (such as lack of time to search, temporarily not able to access internet, wanting more personal help, etc,) However, Zero requests have come in to me through R.Match so far.

Personally, I chose not to sign up for Rover Match because the increase in percentage would not be worth it to me should the dog prove to be trouble. Should the dog be trouble, they're not coming back anyway. I feel better screening my own clients. I like the kind of clients who meticulously search through the Rover profiles and choose to contact me.
