Any one know any ROVER sitters in your area and if so how do you contact them? I would love to meet a few so i can refer when I am unavailable?
There may be a facebook group. Some sitters, myself included, have resorted to making a general inquiry in order to communicate.
I think there is a facebook group, but I normally will initiate contact or another sitter by requesting a stay of one day and talking from there. Some people get sketchy about it, others are very open to it. It's not like you have to pay or anything, you just have an open line of communication from there.
Great question, I had this exact situation one weekend and had to do what the previous answer said, contact another sitter as if it was a booking and explain I was referring business to her. I followed up with Rover support since I figured surely there was a better way for sitter to sitter communication, but they said there is not (at least not through Rover). Seems like a gap, that if shored up would keep the money flowing through Rover. I'd love to have fellow Rover sitters as back ups.
