It really depends on location. I would browse at what some of the other sitters are charging in your area. It also depends on how many stars you have. I started out by charging 23 when I had no stars, but slowly progressed to 30 when I got more reviews.

It appears that Patricia C is a dog owner, not a sitter, trying to get an idea of what to charge.

Oh. Yet this is posted under Sitter to Sitter section?

I don't know for certain. As for this community, anybody registered with Rover can post on the "Sitter-to-Sitter" and "Using Rover" boards. Anyone else can post to dog questions, or at least that is what I recall is how they set it up. While you would expect a customer to post a general question about average rates on the Using Rover board, I don't think everyone pays that close attention. Of course, I may be totally wrong.

Thank You So Much for reminding me that the Sitter to Sitter is still open to the public until further notice. I found the link, inc. Matt from Rover's post stating it would be an enhancement to make it only available to sitters. I bet there's a lot in S2S that sitters wouldn't want clients to read.

You would get a more accurate idea if you search the profiles in your area, using the Find Sitter option and reading profiles, rather than discussing in Q&A which is nationwide. You will see by clicking more services, there are different prices listed for walking and sitting.
