I just moved--how do I keep my clients?

I live in Boston but just bought a house 25 minutes south of the city. What is the best way to let my clients (I have a couple repeats) know and any tips on keeping them as customers? I am willing to add pick ups and drop offs but I don't want to seetm desperate! Also, is the best way to contact them through past inbox exhanges?

Anyone else struggle with this? I have such a strong following here that i am sad to start over...

I've found that if people love you as a sitter, they are willing to drive. I feel like 25 minutes isn't too much further to keep with a sitter they already know and trust. I'd just send a message letting them know you were moving and that you'd love to see their dog again. I get clients from all over - 10, 20, 30 even 40 minutes away - you will still have success even after you move!

Yeah, one of my guests was from Seattle! The client drove down here for a business trip and decided to get a sitter in Portland rather than one back at home.

I live in the Chicago suburbs. I have a repeat customer that lives in ann arbor Michigan 4 hrs away from me. she travels to Chicago 4 times a year on business. she prefers to bring her dog a golden retriever to stay with my golden retrievers. I have another customer that lives in st Louis missiouri that travels 6 hrs to visit family in the Chicago suburbs that I have watched. I quess if they really like your profile and the service you provide for them then they would rather travel with their dog than leave them at home and find a sitter at home.

I don't think it would be weird at all to send a message to your repeat clients letting them know about the move, thanking them for their business, and saying how much you'd love to keep them as customers. Offer them whatever deal on drop offs/pick ups you'd like as a thank you for being awesome. I'd contact them whichever way you normally contact them for Rover business.. if you were sending all your messages through Rover, use an old message; if you normally texted/emailed them, do that. As a dog owner, I'd love to have a heads up before I needed a sitter, and I'd certainly rather stay with a sitter I know and like than find a new one, especially if they make transport easier for me.
