About: I am trustworthy and reliable with a love for pets. We spoil our animals and always stop to say hi to pets we meet when out and about. We have a mature well behaved German shepherd/husky mix and a younger orange cat. Growing up with pets and having so many pets in our families have given us diverse understanding of pets and their behaviors. I have volunteered transporting shelter dogs in the past as well. I have some extra time these days and it would be rewarding and fun to help with other folks pets. I’m currently working on some projects for myself so I can make some free time when needed most of the time. Ask and we can hopefully work something out. We have a pet proof home as well as a yard that is surrounded by forest all the way around. Will use a leash always when outdoors.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, and even a rabbit! Growing up with pets taught me how to care for animals with patience, love, and lots of belly rubs. I’ve raised dogs from puppyhood to their senior years and currently share my home with two cats and a rabbit. I understand the unique needs of each pet, from playful energy to quiet cuddles, and I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering medication, and providing safe, loving companionship. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a gentle snuggle, or someone to match their zoomie energy—I’ve got it covered! I’m currently on maternity leave, which means I’m home most of the day and have a flexible schedule. I can easily accommodate daytime walks, drop-ins, and last-minute bookings. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long stroll, or some extra attention while you’re away, I’m here and happy to help! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where they’ll feel right at home. I always follow pet parent instructions carefully and make sure your furry friend gets the attention and care they deserve. Whether we’re going for a walk or hanging out at home, I’m mindful, gentle, and fully present. You can relax knowing your pet is in safe, trustworthy hands.

“Trying to find a dog sitter for a puppy is hard. Jay had no hesitation accepting my puppy into her home. Sent updates, pics and videos while she was in her care. Puppy’s can be hard work but she made it look easy. Introduced our puppy to a cat which was nice. She has been around other dogs so knowing she can be around cats is nice. I had to extend my stay, and Jay was flexible and available to meet my last minute needs.”

About: Hi there my name is Amanda and my husband is Matthew we moved to cape breton island (Sydney area) in jan 2024. We are very passionate about our 4 fur babies and have always dreamed of starting a kenneling business. Our home is on 5 acres of property with 1 acre of it fenced and lots of walking trails in the non fenced area. We are starting with rober to guage interest in the area. When with us you can be assured that your fur baby will be treated like one of our own. Before taking an overnight friend we will need to do a meet and greet to ensure they get along with other dogs and are good with kids as we have a new baby as they will be included in our family plays. We are looking forward to welcoming your babies into our home. Our schedule will be flexible as I am on mat leave and if we get a lot of interest we would like to make it into a business. My husband works from home. We can discuss what works best for you at meet and greet. It's my dogs world I just live in it is my way of caring for my pets. Don't get me wrong they have rules but my job is to make their lives the best I can which is what led me to this idea ! My dogs have been going to day camp and on pack walks for years and the socialization really helps them to learn to interact with other dogs and humans.

About: My family has always had cats, dogs, guinea pigs and hamsters growing up. Friends and neighbour's have had snakes and ferrets that I've spent time with as well. I've worked with therapy animals to support children with various abilities and behaviors and just generally am an animal lover. I would love to have a big farm one day and have an animal sanctuary and just let all the pups and cats live their best lives. I have taught cats and dogs tricks over the years (yes cats!) And am very proud of the tricks they have learned :) I would love to be able to provide you with the peace of mind knowing that your animals are in good hands while you're away. I work from home during the weel and can potentially provide support at lunch time if you're in my area. I can take care of your animals on weekends and in the evenings during the week. I have a cat and dog who cohabitate, neither are allowed on the couch/bed and have their own spots to relax. If you are open to having your dog play with ours we would be happy to do so as Rocco is so gentle and loves to play with friends of all sizes

I am interested in learning the routine and norms of your pet (including cues/commands, preferences, medications, etc) that will ensure their comfort and consistency. I believe in being an effective communicator and our pets best advocate. I am continuously researching and learning how to improve as a pet parent and trainer. I do my best to ensure they receive good nutrition, activities, and rest. Understanding the breed(s) and the individual dog has helped me build great relationships with my pups.

“You will not regret having Phil looking after your pet. He is very responsible and will treat your pet like his own. We always left our beloved family dog Mina with Phil, no matter if for a few hours or a few weeks. Mina loved spending time with Phil and with his gentle dog Rocco. I never worried even when Mina had some physical health issues as I knew she was in good hands. He is very experienced with handling big and small, energetic and reactive dogs.”
