About: I am caring and thoughtful about the wellbeing of dogs and cats. I care for my own like he is my child and have been trusted by family and friends over the years, and have never let anyone down! I’m a teacher on summer vacation right now! I’d love to make my summer really meaningful by helping out some pups and their owners! (Or cats for drop in visits!) Come the fall, my schedule will be restricted to weekends, with some possible exceptions- just ask! Outdoor meet ups with owner an owner present are required between my dog and yours prior to daycare- please allow about 20 minutes for that. For overnight boarding we will have to do a meet up sometime leading up to the board, at least a day in advance. My dog, Ernie, does very well with other dogs- the purpose of the meet ups is just to make sure everyone is comfortable- dogs and humans! Doggy seatbelt provided for drives. Large kennel crate provided if your dog is used to sleeping in one! (However they also have the choice of the foot of my bed, or a dog bed next to it!)

About: Hi there my name is Amanda and my husband is Matthew we moved to cape breton island (Sydney area) in jan 2024. We are very passionate about our 4 fur babies and have always dreamed of starting a kenneling business. Our home is on 5 acres of property with 1 acre of it fenced and lots of walking trails in the non fenced area. We are starting with rober to guage interest in the area. When with us you can be assured that your fur baby will be treated like one of our own. Before taking an overnight friend we will need to do a meet and greet to ensure they get along with other dogs and are good with kids as we have a new baby as they will be included in our family plays. We are looking forward to welcoming your babies into our home. Our schedule will be flexible as I am on mat leave and if we get a lot of interest we would like to make it into a business. My husband works from home. We can discuss what works best for you at meet and greet. It's my dogs world I just live in it is my way of caring for my pets. Don't get me wrong they have rules but my job is to make their lives the best I can which is what led me to this idea ! My dogs have been going to day camp and on pack walks for years and the socialization really helps them to learn to interact with other dogs and humans.

“We are traveling in an RV Caravan trip with 24 RV’s and we needed a person to walk our dogs while we were away on an excursion. Janis agreed to meet us at our campground and she met our dogs and came back the next day to walk them. She walked four dogs in all and she did a great job and the dogs you could see enjoyed it from the pictures she sent! Highly recommended!”
