About: I am trustworthy and reliable with a love for pets. We spoil our animals and always stop to say hi to pets we meet when out and about. We have a mature well behaved German shepherd/husky mix and a younger orange cat. Growing up with pets and having so many pets in our families have given us diverse understanding of pets and their behaviors. I have volunteered transporting shelter dogs in the past as well. I have some extra time these days and it would be rewarding and fun to help with other folks pets. I’m currently working on some projects for myself so I can make some free time when needed most of the time. Ask and we can hopefully work something out. We have a pet proof home as well as a yard that is surrounded by forest all the way around. Will use a leash always when outdoors.

About: I have a house full of fluff! Multi-dog home with big and small, male and female. Have done puppyhood and adopted adult dogs. Have cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits as well, and so am experienced with them, too! I worked as a pet trainer with PetSmart, interacting with dogs of all ages and breeds. I loved my job and helping other pet parents learn to be great communicators with their dogs and advocate for them! I have a specialist honours degree in Comparative Physiology from the University of Toronto, with a major in Biological Anthropology and minor in Psychology. I’ve graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and am a practicing Chiropractor in Sydney. I am a practicing Chiropractor in Sydney. My schedule is quite flexible and my longest shift is typically 6hrs. I am happy to take on booking requests that fit well within my schedule. I prioritize learning the routine and norms of your pet (including cues/commands, preferences, medications, etc) that will ensure their comfort and consistency. I believe in being an effective communicator and our pets best advocate. I am continuously researching and learning how to improve as a pet parent and trainer. I do my best to ensure they receive good nutrition, activities, and rest. Understanding the breed(s) and the individual dog has helped me build great relationships with each individual pet.

“Phillip was wonderful with Roxie my 2.5 yo poodle mix. We traveled from the states and contacted him to do doggie day care for 2 days while we were visiting the area so we could go to Louisburg. From our initial meet Roxie liked him and Phillip took her on very long walks and allowed her free time in his home even with their own dog's toys. She seemed very relaxed and happy when we picked her up. I would highly recommend Phillip if you need someone to watch your beloved pet. He's GREAT!”

Janis agreed to meet us at our campground and she met our dogs and came back the next day to walk them.
