About: I grew up with pets and have loved them ever since. I have had many furry friends over the years and appreciate the company of a good dog. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. With working from home on a regular basis, looking after a dog works well. I just lost our old Golden Retriever Rosie this summer and it has left a hole in my heart, especially her furry companion, Finn the ragdoll cat. If you have a Great Friendly Dog that is Totally comfortable with cats, please reach out to me as I would love to give them some love while you are away. I love hiking and walking so would look forward to doing this with your furry friend. I have a fenced back yard but would expect to give good daily walks for your dog. They could be in and out of the house as they wish.

I was worried at first as one of my dogs is a muscular puller and thought for sure that it would be a challenge but not at all. She handled both dogs perfectly and I am pretty sure she taught them to be bilingual as well. 10/10 she will be my number one choice and the only person I will recommend to others. I can not express how happy we were with our experience. I am not sure if there are awards or 6 star status but If anyone from the Rover teams see this Johanne should be given elite status.”

I pride myself on being a dog person and being someone others can count on. I’d love to take your dog on a walk! I have open availability and keep myself flexible to fit into your pets routine. Times may be adjusted on days when it’s too hot or too cold. I walk dogs with patience, calmness, and understanding. I grew up with Australian Shepherds and currently own two Siberian Huskies, so I’m very experienced with energetic, intelligent, and strong-willed breeds. Safety is always a priority for me, and I stay aware of other dogs and surroundings during walks — I’m happy to cross the street or create space when needed to keep everyone comfortable and safe. I believe in positive, respectful handling. If your dog pulls, I won’t yell or punish them; instead, I’ll calmly stop and wait until they’re ready to continue. I also believe walks should be enjoyable and enriching, so your pup will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and enjoy all the exciting spots along the way. Every dog is different, and I’ll always be mindful of your dog’s individual abilities, energy level, personality, and needs to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for on our adventures together.
