About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting most likely in the fall of 2026. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I live alone, and do not have obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (MonThurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing (even when sniffing the ground), making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!
“Paige was a perfect fit for my large dog Walter - her home has a HUGE fenced In yard where the doggies can run free - when Walter stayed with Paige I was on vacation in Costa Rica for a week and through all the photos & communication that were sent by Paige I believe my dog had as good - IF NOT BETTER then the time I had. were other dogs that were in my terms “ on vacation “ as well which I found so comforting as my big boy loves to play ! Paige is confident to allow dogs off leash while on numerous walks. I’ve had dogs and other animals (cats, guniea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, bunnies) my entire life, and even have worked in the dog daycare industry as well as volunteered in the dog rescue world. I have worked with many local dog rescues including fostering and some behavioural work, as well as reference checks. I have also been an adoption coordinator and held fundraisers for rescues in the GTA. I have worked for over three years in different daycare and boarding environments and have decided that I like the personal in-home touch better than a kennel. Having a dog feel at home while their owners are away is super important to me, it’s what I would want for my dogs if I were away! I cater to your style, dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re used to. However if you don’t want your pets on furniture; I am also happy to keep up any boundaries you maintain in your regular routine if that’s applicable to you. I have experience in many different styles of dog training and we can work together to make sure that your dog is in a routine that they would be in while you were home! I work 5 minutes from home and often take an hour lunch break to come home and walk the dogs. For safety, no dogs (that are not from the same family and allowed to stay together) will be kept together unsupervised. A segregated spot in the house will be made for my own dogs and your dog(s) so they can have their own space if I am at work. I currently work out of the house, but I am off every other weekend. My husband, Mike, is off every Wednesday and Weekend. Your pet will join our routine. I have two friendly dogs of my own to provide company. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment I am able make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society

About: I am a former dog owner of an 18 year old Cockapoo I lost 1,5 years ago. Prior to this I cared for my 19 year old Spaniel/terrier. In addition, I am listed on Trusted House sitters as a Five star House/pet sitter. My last girl, I took care of her in Pallative state, administering, meds, special allergy bathing , going to the Vet for fluids and other treatments. Carry her down the deck stairs for her potty time when her ability was no longer there to climb up and down stairs etc. I had both of my dogs as a puppy and trained them with some dog trainers and my own training. I still have bedding, dishes, wire and mesh crate, toys! I am retired, I have some spare time depending on some days between appointments and trips into Ottawa. I would be more available during the day and early evenings I have a fenced yard, with plenty of grass down below the deck area. I am close to walking trails and sidewalks outside of my home. I do have a wired and mesh crate. I may administer some oral medication. Walk, feed, give lots of love, hugs and attention to your fur baby!

About: Hey there! My name is Ashley and I am a huge animal lover. I’ve had dogs and other animals (cats, guniea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, bunnies) my entire life, and even have worked in the dog daycare industry as well as volunteered in the dog rescue world. I have worked with many local dog rescues including fostering and some behavioural work, as well as reference checks. I have also been an adoption coordinator and held fundraisers for rescues in the GTA. I have worked for over three years in different daycare and boarding environments and have decided that I like the personal in-home touch better than a kennel. Having a dog feel at home while their owners are away is super important to me, it’s what I would want for my dogs if I were away! I cater to your style, dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re used to. However if you don’t want your pets on furniture; I am also happy to keep up any boundaries you maintain in your regular routine if that’s applicable to you. I have experience in many different styles of dog training and we can work together to make sure that your dog is in a routine that they would be in while you were home! I work 5 minutes from home and often take an hour lunch break to come home and walk the dogs. For safety, no dogs (that are not from the same family and allowed to stay together) will be kept together unsupervised. A segregated spot in the house will be made for my own dogs and your dog(s) so they can have their own space if I am at work. I currently work out of the house, but I am off every other weekend. My husband, Mike, is off every Wednesday and Weekend. Your pet will join our routine. I have two friendly dogs of my own to provide company. We are happy to continue your at home routines, whether that includes crating your dog or not. Our yard is not fenced, we use longlines and supervision when dogs are outside.

About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing (even when sniffing the ground), making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter.
