About: I grew up taking care of animals, inclusive of dogs, cats and goats. I have an affinity with animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. In particular, dogs mean a great deal to me and because I do not have children, dogs have become the object of my love and care and have given that back to me. I have rescued a great deal of domestic and wild animals (raccoons, opossums and a number of birds). I regularly volunteer at the Quinte Humane Society as well. My most recent sits have included large properties in Prince Edward County and Marysville and surrounding areas, with both small dogs, large dogs and multiple pets. I have also taken care of an 80 acre goat farm in Owen Sound for three weeks, taking care of the house and grounds as well. I can also take care of your plants inside and out, garbage and recycling, and am open to other duties that can be discussed at the time of a meet and greet. I always have a meet and greet at least 2 weeks (whenever possible) before my sit, so you can feel comfortable with me, my two little dogs that come with me, and your pets can feel comfortable too! I am a traveler as well and know how important it is to leave one's pet in exceptional care when one is away. About: It all started with rabbits when I was a 4 year old. My dad bred them and we had well over 60 at one point. I had a pair of baby ducks when I was 8 years old. Then along came my budgie when I was 10. I have a lifelong experience of caring for many different types of pets. In the past I have had rabbits, ducks, a budgie, cockatiels, finches, rats, and aquariums. I took riding lessons as a teen and worked on the horse farm to pay for my lessons. I also have experience with exotic animals as I worked for a short time in a zoo. I have owned 5 dogs. A Husky (who lived to 15), an Australian Shepherd (who passed at age 12 from cancer), a sports mix - Border Collie/Staff/Russel (who passed at 14.5 from CHF), another Australian Shepherd (who passed at 11 from cancer), and I currently have a male Australian Shepherd. I work part time throughout the winter and have a tourism business during the summer. My work schedule is generally 4-6 hour days with a few off during the week. Your pet's care would fit in with my own pet's care. My dog is young and energetic and loves to play with other dogs. We hike most days in the woods surrounding the house. I have a pup who loves other dogs (he would have to come with me for overnight visits). He is playful and affectionate. I have a huge fenced in run with a custom built shelter for the dogs . I also live minute from trails to take the dogs on safe walks free from any traffic.

About: Hi, I’m Jess! I have 9.5 years of professional dog care experience, including daycares, structured on-leash group walks, off-leash park play, boarding, and housesitting. Raised on a farm, I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and share my home with two resident cats. I am incredibly comfortable with all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, from puppies and seniors to special needs. I'm trained in dog reactivity, certified in Pet First Aid, and experienced in administering medications, shots, and flea treatments. I live in a large apartment and typically host a single dog, but I’m open to caring for multiples from the same family if they get along well (complete with a complimentary trial). I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to ensure a perfect fit! I am just a 5 minute walk from a beautiful, very large off-leash dog park that features both an enclosed area and an additional section for pups who need a bit more focused attention.As well as, Delhi Park, Macaulay Mountain or Millenium Trail for hikes.
