About: A lifelong pet parent, I've been caring for dogs, cats, and birds for over 25 years. I have a large home with a fenced backyard, which backs onto a forest for the best walks. I have a dedicated area for pet care and am fully equipped with grooming equipment if needed. I'm equally comfortable with dogs and cats, and have cared for animals at all stages of their lives, from puppy/kitten days all the way to old age. My eldest pug lived to be 19! I work from home as a freelancer and I make my own schedule. This gives me plenty of time to spend with your pet. My daily routine involves an early start around 6am, breakfast for the pets and the kids before the morning school dropoff, and two daily walks around the neighborhood. Your pet is welcome to join me on the walks, or cuddle up in my lap at home. I'll love them like my own! I am pleased to adapt to your pet's needs. My home has a separate area dedicated to pet sitting for pets who are more shy or like their own space. My cat is quite friendly and has experience with other cats and dogs. My backyard is fenced and secure. Typically I have pets enter through the dedicated side entrance to acclimatize to the environment before introducing them to the main part of the house. This ensures that your little one feels safe and confident in their temporary home with my family.

About: Bonjour !

We were very happy with Yamalie. She was very empathic with our dog Mathias, and very attentive to his needs and special requirements. She was very accommodating with our crazy and sometimes changing schedule, and handled all the walks in a timely fashion. To top it off she’s a great person! We would totally recommend or work with her again.

Samantha was extremely professional. Our dog is rather challenging and she handled him extremely well. It was our first time trying dog walking services during our vacation and our dog was so much happier than going to the usual boarding kennel where he already knew everyone. Samantha kept us well informed of everything and communicated every little detail we needed to know to feel comfortable. She's extremely trustworthy and honest.

About: I just finished my school in animal care where i am able to work alongside technicians and vets if i wanted to. I have the knowledge for proper animal care and i am also cpr certified for animals. Ive had cats my whole life and have had my own 3 babies for the past 4 years and they are my entire world.

About: Bonjour, Hello, Hola! I'm Franshesca! 👋 I'm a passionate animal lover located in Laval with 5 years of hands on experience caring for dogs and puppies. I'm the proud owner of two rescue puppies from Chile, Bobby and Osita, who have taught me that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with cuddles, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I believe every pet deserves individualized care, so I take the time to learn their routine and preferences to help them feel as relaxed as possible. I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and care for small and medium-sized dogs. I'm also comfortable administering oral medication if needed. During every booking, you'll receive regular photo and video updates because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy and well cared for. My goal is simple, to care for your pet as if they were my own; with patience, kindness, and lots of love. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! 🐾 Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I offer morning visits before work, evening visits after work, and flexible availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their routine while providing plenty of attention, patience, and care. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I take the time to learn their routine and provide care that's tailored to their individual needs. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll always provide a safe, loving environment while respecting your instructions and keeping their routine as consistent as possible.

About: What sets me apart is the calm, attentive environment I provide. I grew up in a home that regularly rescued and fostered dogs, so caring for different personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs has always been part of my life. We always had at least two dogs in the house at a time, and I’ve continued that into adulthood with my own rescues - Rose, who I’ve had since she was 1 (now 14), and Baby, who has been with me for 6 years. I’m often told I have a calm, easy energy that dogs naturally trust. I’m especially patient and understanding with anxious dogs and behavioral sensitivities, while still creating a relaxed and stable environment. I work from home, so dogs are never left unsupervised and always have consistent attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. My home is cozy, calm, and dog-focused, with a large fenced backyard for fetch, sunbathing, and safe outdoor time. I treat every dog like they’re my own and prioritize making them feel secure, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already structure my days around caring for animals. My own dogs are a huge part of my everyday life, so walks, outdoor time, feeding schedules, play, cuddles, and supervision are already built into my routine. I’m home often throughout the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, companionship, and care rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I genuinely enjoy creating a calm, cozy environment where animals can relax, feel safe, and settle into a comfortable rhythm. Weekly, I prioritize keeping a clean and pet-friendly home and making sure animals get both mental stimulation and downtime depending on their personality and needs. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or more anxious and reserved, I’m attentive to helping them feel comfortable and cared for while they’re with me. Safety is always my top priority when caring for dogs in my home. I have two friendly rescue dogs who are calm, social, and well accustomed to sharing space with other animals. I always prioritize slow, respectful introductions and pay close attention to each dog’s comfort level, personality, and boundaries. I provide a calm, structured environment where dogs are supervised closely and never left unattended outdoors. My home is ground level and has a large fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, fetch, bathroom breaks, and relaxing in the sun, and all yard time is monitored. Inside the home, I use tools like baby gates when needed to create separate spaces for rest, decompression, feeding, or quieter introductions. Because I work from home, I’m present throughout the day to supervise interactions, maintain routines, and make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. My goal is always to create a cozy, low-stress environment where dogs can settle in comfortably and feel at home.

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Mascouche. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities in Canada require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance travelled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Mascouche.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits, dog walking, and doggy day care. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find walkers in Mascouche with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mascouche choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 85% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
