About: Hi! My name is Claire, and I’ve been caring for animals for many years. I am the primary caregiver for my two mini cockapoos, Izzie and Piper, whom I’ve raised since 2017. I’ve been responsible for their potty training, behavioural training, daily exercise, feeding schedules, enrichment, grooming routines, and veterinary care. I also have experience helping rescue and rehome cats, including two cats prior to adopting my current rescue cat, Peep, from a shelter in April. Caring for both dogs and cats has given me experience with many different personalities, temperaments, and comfort levels, including shy or anxious pets adjusting to new environments. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive to care for your pets as if they were family. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the pets in my care. Because I have a flexible schedule, pets in my care are not left alone for long periods and can receive frequent supervision, bathroom breaks, exercise, affection, and attention throughout the day. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy meeting new friends. While my yard is not traditionally fenced, my dogs are safely trained with a secure invisible fence system and are always supervised outdoors. My home can be separated into different areas if needed to help pets feel comfortable and safe depending on their personalities and how they interact with other animals.
