“Angela was amazing with our diabetic cat. She was punctual at medication time and spent so much time playing with him and loving him. When we came home we was very relaxed, which shows us how well he was loved while we were away. Thank you Angela. We appreciate you.”

About: I’ve spent my life around dogs and have cared for many — my own, as well as dogs belonging to family, friends, and neighbours. I raised my boxer from the time she was a tiny puppy and cared for her for 10 wonderful years. She had her own set of health issues, so I’m familiar with administering care, monitoring symptoms, and supporting dogs who need a little extra attention. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities; from energetic pups who want to explore every corner of the neighbourhood to older dogs who prefer slow walks and quiet company. I’m happy to host dogs in my home or stay in yours, depending on what makes your pet feel safest and most relaxed. Daily walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding routines, and the occasional mess are all part of the experience I genuinely enjoy. My goal is always to make dogs feel secure, loved, and well cared for while their people are away. I offer flexible, reliable pet‑care with open availability, including early‑morning and late‑night visits perfect for pet parents who are shift workers or have unpredictable schedules. I’m committed to keeping your pets comfortable and cared for whenever you need support. Overnight stays are available with advance notice to ensure the best experience for your furry companions. I follow all home‑care instructions exactly as provided, ensuring your pet’s routine stays consistent and comforting. Whether that includes kennel time or specific in‑home preferences, I always prioritize whatever helps your furry friend feel safest and most relaxed while you’re away.
“Jeff was our first experience with a 'Rover' pet sitter. We could not be more impressed. Jeff's introduction to Shelby and Patty was proof things would be okay. They loved him immediately. He visited 4 times a day and made sure to cover pee breaks, run times, food and cuddles. All of the stress of leaving them while we went on Holidays went away when we saw his pics after each visit. Our experience with Jeff has been perfect. Hoping he's available for our vacations in the future.”
About: I’ve spent years caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Whether it’s high energy or relaxed walks, or helping a more anxious dog feel safe and comfortable, I adapt my care to what your dog needs most. I’m confident handling reactive or dog-selective dogs and always prioritize safety, structure, and calm energy. I’m comfortable following specific routines, administering basic care, and making sure your dog gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I also understand how important communication is, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel at ease while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, and I currently have a flexible schedule which allows me to prioritize the pets I’m caring for. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week and on weekends. I structure my day around the needs of the pets in my care, whether that’s regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or just providing companionship. Because of my flexibility, I’m also able to accommodate different routines, including early mornings, evenings, or specific timing requests Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and low-stress for them. In your home, I respect your space and follow all instructions closely, whether that’s feeding routines, walk guidelines, or any behavioural considerations. I’m especially mindful on walks, keeping dogs secure, avoiding stressful situations, and being aware of surroundings at all times. As a reactive dog owner, I have experience reading body language and managing different behaviors, so I approach every pet with patience and awareness. I aim to create a calm, safe environment where your pet feels comfortable, and I’ll always keep you updated so you feel confident while you’re away.

About: I have owned a variety of pets over the years! I have two dogs that live back at home with my parents. I have trained to how I would prefer them to behave. I'm an animal lover at heart, but dogs are the best! I have dog sat for family friends over the years, and I have walked many dogs. I make sure to be attentive to the dog's needs as well as the owner's needs. I have just recently moved back up here! I used to do work through Rover where I used to live, and looking to get back into it here!! My two dogs are acreage dogs! They love their personal fenced-in dog park lol. Training them outside is the best because every day their listening skills are being tested with the many distractions! When caring for other's pets, I make sure to follow all instructions given by owners and to be respectful of their wishes for their fur babies! Making sure to give my attention to the dogs, to ensure that I can keep them busy and entertained to make the anxiety of being away from their owner minimal.

About: I've owned a dog or many dogs since I was 18 years old and I am now 53. I specialize in small dogs requiring a safe active loving home environment and im home with them all day or they come with me. I have consistently raised each of those dogs until their natural passing.... I'm not uptight or strict in my care however I am the alpha at my house. I have a very annoying dog whistle that's effective for all dogs and I have never had a problem with recall.(may require training your dog to recall) I prefer consistent training and discipline over crate training but my care for your pet is based on your wants and needs (as long as it doesn't conflict for the others i have in care) and especially consistency for your pet. I allow them on the furniture with training if they are permitted. I train my own pets and can also help with yours. Dogs cats birds reptiles or whatever ...I can also pick up and drop off your pet. I have a special room just for cats as well. Additional tasks required additional costs. (Poor recall, extra needy or whiney or Barry, bigger dogs and or hairy dogs as you know would required extra attention time or cleanup there by reflecting on price. ex: smaller dogs are smaller messes less space/ clean up /big dogs are more hair/foot prints/muscle for care etc. My routine has been the same for the last 35 years... I wake up and I go immediately to take my pets to the dog park where they can be let loose off-leash to do their business... it can take anywhere from 10 or 30 minutes. Then they play or snack or rest at home happily until midday which for them would be approximately between 12 and 3 o'clock I would take them out for another run around same way off-leash And once again at the end of the day before bed between 6 and 10 depending on time of year. That's an example based on a summer schedule however my daily routine would be based on your pet's needs and my preference would be to do 3 times a day if I have them in my full-time care. I have a completely fenced yard with adequate room to run.. I do have 2 other dogs as well that will assist in entertaining yours and keeping them comfortable and assist in training. I also have 2 cats that have no problem with other dogs or if they find the other dogs seem anxious they will hide and not be a bother. I use an open dish policy for food and I treat my pets as though I would my kids. I don't take my eyes off them unless they are safe. I give grain free good food and treats are dried duck or chicken or freeze dried liver or salmon. No milk bones here.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
