About: I love dogs and I like to get out of the house whenever I can, I grew up with a couple dogs and all my friends have animals of some sort so I have alot of experience taking care of different animals! I don’t do spiders, snakes or lizards at all they freak me out but I’m willing to take care of other animals if it’s required! I trained my stubborn prince of a dog myself and I’ve had a few run ins with senior dogs which needed extra care so I am confident if this should happen again! I have my own dog so we walk when it’s warm enough and we play in the yard all the time! I love to go for walks and to the dog park, truck rides exploring new areas and getting animals together to play! We go to my families farm to play in the trees and on the trails a lot as well! I am terrified of tics so we do daily checks after going anywhere! I keep a tidy home the best I can with a toddler a tween and a newborn I always insure there is nothing but toys and treats for any pet to chew on while left unattended. I am able to give medications to stubborn animals as I’ve had lots of personal experience and I don’t snoop around other peoples things therefore I am trustworthy in other peoples homes!

Amanda was a wonderful sitter for my cat, Blue. She was communicative with daily updates and pictures, and went above and beyond with caring for him. I’d highly recommend her services!

About: I've taken care of dogs since i was 5. When our elderly dogs passed away, we weren't ready for a new family member so I volunteered to Foster some dogs and my parents ended up adopting one of them. I have always loved animals at a young age as well as my husband and son. I currently work full time in Edson. If you are comfortable with your pet traveling about 30 mins outside of town, they will have access to a huge yard to play with as well as supervision at all times. I've always treated pets as a part of our family so they are allowed everywhere in the house. They will be able to go outside as often as they like or just stay inside and cuddle if that's what they prefer. We will follow a schedule if it is required by the owner especially for new puppies still learning.

About: I am a Certified Animal Massage Therapist. I owned a high-end Doggie Spa & Boutique for over 10 years in Calgary. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. I believe dogs are a great part of a family. I currently work a part-time flexible schedule so I’m available to care for your doggie(s). Lots of love, cuddles and walks. I can take care of your doggie any day of the week. 🐶🐾 I’m so happy to take care of your doggie(s) in their own home. I live in a apartment that sadly doesn’t allow pets. So I’d love to snuggle & take care of yours.

Amanda was great to communicate with. Quick to respond and sent photos to update me how my boy was doing throughout the weekend! He seemed to have had a good experience!

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
