About: My goal for when taking care of others animals is to make sure they’re comfortable and feel like they’re part of the family while their family is away. I’ve been surrounded by dogs and animals my entire life. Ive had many dogs as well and trained them myself. I’m now a certified trainer as I love the challenge it brings. If there is another animal such as, bunnies, rats, lizards, ferrets, etc… I’ve taken care of them all and more! Provide me with the info as to what animal needs to be cared for and I’m sure I can take them in. ***( All animals I have at home are use to different types of animals. You can rest easy knowing they will not be bothered by my animals if they’re not use to them)*** Je parle aussi français For the most part I’m at home Monday through Sunday. Friday, Saturday & Sunday I’m out for three hours in the morning working. Potty breaks are always available:) I have a puppy and a cat. Treats and love are always available. If there are any food allergies I’m use to this, it’s not a problem. If they need a bath I’m happy to do so ☺️ I make homemade treats but I always ask when I meet with you if they can have them.
“Wonderful experience! Nathalie was warm, reliable, and clearly loves animals. My senior dog has special needs, and she was patient, attentive, and kept me updated with a detailed message afterward. She showed she had really gotten to know both of my pets. Even my cat, who can be selective about people, spent the evening happily curled up on her lap. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter.”

“Emily and Nicholas were amazing taking care of our 3 cats and home for 2 weeks. Cats were super happy and we came home to a sparkling clean home. Will definitely book them again”

Merci Manon!”

About: I have always had animals in my life. Growing up I would help our neighbour when she was away check in on her cat and spend time with her dog! I am currently working as an Early Childhood Educator. I love the adventures I have durning the day but I also enjoy coming home and spending time with my animals. I am free before or after work to go for walks or check in on your animals. I am free on weekends for overnight stays. I would also make sure the client is update on how the animal is doing. Your pets safety and trust are my top properties. When I sit for your dog, I ensure that they’re not only cared for but that they feel secure, happy, and at ease while you're away. Here's how I create a safe and trusting environment for every dog in my care: Pet-Proofed Spaces: My home is carefully prepared to be a safe haven for your dog. I remove any hazards such as chemicals, small objects, and toxic plants that could pose a risk. All gates and doors are securely locked to prevent accidental escapes. Secured Outdoor Areas: If your dog enjoys time outside, I ensure that the yard is fenced and secure, with no gaps or potential escape routes. I supervise all outdoor activities to make sure your dog is safe and secure at all times. Emergency Preparedness: I have clear instructions for handling emergencies, including contact information for your vet, the nearest animal hospital, and your personal contact details, should anything unexpected arise. I stick to your dog’s established routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. Consistency helps minimize stress and makes your dog feel more at home in my care. Every dog is different. Some may need extra quiet time, while others thrive on play and activity. I respect their needs, ensuring that they feel secure and loved throughout the sitting experience.

“Amira was absolutely fantastic. Our moody chihuahua took to her right away and she did great giving our senior boxer all the meds he needed with a last minute injury. She kept him happy even when his activity was low. Pups loved her and can’t recommend her enough. Lovers of pictures and updates throughout our trip.”

About: I have had doggies my whole life and since my last darling passed, I have been a foster Mom and boarder to many! I adore doggies and have a huge yard and heart to match! I support many online charities that save and care for refuge doggies! I was also a caregiver for my senior Mom in her latter years, so patience and love come naturally to me. I am retired so home all day and love having doggies to share the house! I also share the house with a friend so we are both available for walkings etc. I have a huge yard that is partially fenced-in to allow doggies to run and "do their business" throughout the day outside of regular walk times.

Lors de visites, je m'assurerais, avec beaucoup d’attention, de patience et de bienveillance, de respecter leur routine habituelle (repas, promenades, jeux, moments de repos ou autre) afin qu’ils se sentent biens et confortable.
“Lorenço is the sitter you're looking for! He's been caring for my energetic 4-month-old terrier several days a week and has consistently been reliable, patient and understanding (especially during the ongoing puppy biting phase!) He adapts to Watson's needs and treats him like his own. I always know Watson is in great hands while I'm at work. I trust Lorenço completely and highly recommend him. 15/10!”

About: Hello! My name is Taylor. I am an experienced, friendly, energetic, caring dog walker and sitter, and I can't wait to befriend your best doggo pal! I have dog/housesat in England, Canada, USA, and New Zealand and I worked for three years in a doggy daycare centre in Montreal where I earned my Certification in Dog First Aid through DogSafe Canine First Aid. I have extensive experience with senior and disabled dogs as my last dog, Mama Hippo, had arthritis, hip dysplasia, and significant mobility challenges. She required injections which I administered monthly. I grew up with two Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers named Camey and Shreddie along with a West Highland Terrier named Nutmeg - so I have plenty of experience walking multiple dogs at once!! The dogs I have cared for as a dogsitter in the past include Ziggy the Italian Greyhound/Boxer-Mix Rescue, Abby the Boxer, Lucy the Yorkie, Conan the Italian Greyhound, Ollie the Coton de Tulear, Maggie the Great Dane, Tekia the Westie, Bentley the Pit Bull, Eevie the Pomeranian, Mia the Chihuaua, and Ruger the Labrador Retriever. I am more than happy to provide further references upon request. I live in the Plateau with my partner and our friendly rescue dog Bailey. I am available throughout the week as well as on weekends. We live in a walk up apartment a short walk from the mountain and Parc Jeanne Mance. As a Master's studies student currently working on my thesis, dog-walking and dog-sitting helps keep me active. Dogs bring me so much joy, and I am grateful to have been able to find ways to enjoy quality dog time. I love to send pupdates of our time together, so you can expect to receive frequent photo and video messages throughout your pooch's time with me! Please contact me for any further information on services I can provide and let me know if you would like to arrange a Zoom Meet and Greet before booking my Rover services. Looking forward to connecting with you and all the exciting pawsibilities ahead! **My rates can be flexible. I’d like to accommodate other dog lovers and be able to make something work 💕** SCHEDULE: As a graduate studies student, I work from home throughout the week and love having doggos around to go on walks with for a brain break and have a snuggle on the couch between meetings. I am committed to being attentive and present with your pooch while we spend time together and love when they make a special guest appearance during my Zoom meetings. At the same time, since I am currently working on my thesis, I can accommodate lower-energy dogs and dogs that enjoy a good run around outside at the park who are then content to nap/take it easy at home for a few hours to allow for some solid, focused study time. SAFETY, TRUST & ENVIRONMENT: In trusting your beloved pooch with me, I am committed to providing the utmost safety, care and comfort for you and your pooch during the time I am hosting. An initial consult conversation - in person, over the phone, and/or video call - is helpful in clarifying my living space and surrounding environment (i.e. urban, flat, nearby park, etc) to discuss whether I am the best fit to host your dog. I believe in positive reinforcement dog training as informed by evidence in Animal Behaviour and Applied Behaviour Analysis that involves compassionate treatment. Consistency is important, so I'll ask you to let me know what commands you have with your dog so I can use them too!
“Friendly, tidy, flexible, and responsive. Lindsay cared for our cats and dog while we were away. An unexpected issue had occurred with our return flights, which Lindsay was understanding and flexible with. She followed the instructions we left with regards to our pets, and tidied our apartment before we returned, which was very thoughtful! We recommend her, and would use her services again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brownsburg-Chatham
I was stressed about arranging care for our senior dogs, Capone and Winnie, while we were in town for a very important family event. Emily was kind, calming, and reassuring during our visit to Hawkesbury, which allowed us to attend the event without worrying about our dogs. Capone, our eldest dog, requires extra care because he has mobility issues. When we returned from the hotel, we found Emily walking both dogs, with Capone comfortably riding in his wagon. Winnie loved Emily and didn’t want her to leave. I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for compassionate, reliable care for their furry loved ones.

I can’t thank Emily and Nic enough! We had some delays coming home due to some airline disruptions, and they stuck back to ensure our cat was well cared for! Our home is immaculate and they made sure we were welcomed back to a lovely clean and welcoming home. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a loving, caring, pet sitter! Thanks Emily and Nic!

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brownsburg-Chatham maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brownsburg-Chatham walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brownsburg-Chatham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
