“I felt completely at ease leaving our new pups with Jessica. They got loads of care & attention and walks. It was our new puppy’s first weekend away and I was so glad for him to have such a positive experience. I’m sure he will be looking forward to going back!”

“Erika was quick to respond and helped take care of our dog last minute. She sent updates and photos, and took great care of her! Will definitely rebook if we are in the area in the future.”

“10/10 experience with Erin and Michael from start to finish! From the meet and greet to the lovely photo updates, I was very appreciative of the love and care they gave to my pup Bodhi. I would highly recommend them for your pet care needs!”

“Quinn was a great dogsitter. She communicated easily and often and assured me, especially in the first day or two, that my dog was doing great. I would not hesitate to hire Quinn again to take care of my dog.”

“Leigh-ann was amazing with our 6 month old puppy. She had him tired out and sleeping through the first night with her. She sent us frequent reassuring updates that Sunny was in good hands. He loved hanging with Freya and he came home tired out from all the walks and playing. We will absolutely leave Sunny with Leigh-ann when we need to board him in the future.”

“11/10 experience from start to finish! Marley was an incredible sitter for my pup Bodhi and I am so grateful for her above and beyond care. Marley was excellent with communication, flexible with timing for pick-up/drop-off, and I could tell that Bodhi was well-loved and cared for. It was my first time using Marley as a sitter and I would 100% reach out to her in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of my little guy!”

“Nicolle was great with my dog, Vito. He’s a very playful, and energetic dog. But Nicolle handled him very well. He stayed with her for 3 days, and Nicolle kept me updated and sent pictures through out the stay. Will definitely call again in the future.”
About: I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals. From growing up with family pets to helping friends and neighbours with their dogs and cats, I’ve gained years of hands on experience providing care, comfort, and companionship. I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs, whether that’s long walks, playtime, or just quiet cuddles. My goal is to make your furry family member feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work only a few days a month, and that work is done from home. This gives me a very flexible schedule and the ability to be available on short notice. I’ll happily work around your needs to make sure your pet is cared for when you need me most. I treat every pet and home with the same care I would want for my own. During drop-ins, I make sure your pet has fresh water, food, and plenty of attention. On walks, I keep safety first while giving your pet the exercise and fun they need. I’ll also keep you updated as much or as little as you want, so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

“Sydney was great. She was punctual for meet and greet and even brought our dog to our house. She was really good about keeping us updated with texts and photos while we were traveling.”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of patience, compassion, and real-life experience I bring, especially with dogs who need a little extra understanding. I’ve cared for two rescue dogs with very different and challenging backgrounds, which has shaped how I approach every animal I look after. One of my dogs I found on the streets of the Philippines, where I nursed her back to health and helped her regain strength and trust. The other I adopted from Heart Hope and Rescue, and she came to me with severe fear due to past abuse. Through consistent care, gentle handling, and a lot of love, I’ve helped her grow into a confident, happy dog who can now be around men comfortably. Today, she’s incredibly affectionate and truly thrives. Because of these experiences, I’m especially skilled with nervous, shy, or rescue dogs who may need extra patience and reassurance. I understand how to read body language, build trust at their pace, and create a calm, safe environment. I’m also comfortable reinforcing basic training, maintaining routines, and giving dogs the attention and care they need to feel secure and happy. Above all, I genuinely love animals and treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, cared for, and completely loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and because I work part-time, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the time, attention, and care they deserve. I’m available for both weekday and weekend boarding, and I structure my days to make sure pets are never left alone for long periods. In the mornings, I start the day with walks, feeding, and some playtime to help your dog burn off energy and feel settled. Throughout the day, I incorporate regular potty breaks, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention whether that’s play, training reinforcement, or just relaxing together. Because I’m home often, your dog will have consistent companionship and supervision. I also adapt my routine to match your dog’s specific needs. For high-energy dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation, while more anxious or senior dogs get a calm, quiet environment with gentle care and extra comfort. Evenings are more relaxed, with another walk, dinner, and wind-down time filled with cuddles and companionship. Overall, I prioritize creating a safe, structured, and loving environment so your dog feels at home and well cared for every day they’re with me. I provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual needs, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I prioritize safety by maintaining a clean, secure environment, closely supervising pets, and following any specific routines, dietary requirements, or medical instructions provided by the owner. Building trust is central to my approach, so I take time to understand each pet’s personality, comfort levels, and preferences, ensuring they feel calm and cared for. I also respect clients’ homes by keeping spaces tidy and communicating regularly with updates, so owners feel confident and reassured while they are away.
“Roberta took excellent care of our dog while we were away for a long family vacation. She is very knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares. We had peace of mind knowing that our dog would be part of her family while we were away. We appreciated the updates and pictures while we were away and could tell he had enjoyed his time with Roberta and her dog. We are so grateful and will 100% reach out to Roberta next time we need a sitter. She is a lovely person who clearly cares deeply about the people and animals she interacts with. Thank you!”

“Bob was the best Rover experience we’ve had yet! Him and his wife have a GORGEOUS home and property. He met us at the door with fresh salmon for our pups! They have tons of dog experience and experience with quirky northern pups (we have two huskies). They were in the absolute best hands on their vacation with Bob and I’m sure the pups now miss him lots. It was wonderful that we could relax knowing they were in such a terrific home with the kindest and best people!!”

About: I grew up around dogs, but my real journey started 7 years ago when I adopted my rescue Border Collie, Chief. Together we worked with professional trainers to overcome his reactivity and fearfulness, building his confidence along the way. I completed the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Foundations course and got involved in dog sports. Chief and I now compete in sheep herding trials in BC and Washington, earning his Started and Open titles, hopefully his Advanced title this year! I’d love to use some of this experience to help your dog too. I specialize in calm, loose-leash walking and am comfortable working with more challenging dogs using positive reinforcement. Message me to set up a meet & greet! I'm currently self employed, manage my own schedule and can work flexibly. I am available to help take care of your pup on a regular basis. My dogs get three 30 minute walks daily, regular potty breaks in a fenced yard, as well as structured play time and obedience training. All dogs in my home are crate trained. I am experienced in positive reinforcement methods to build trust with your pup and am also confident being a calm and firm handler where needed. I am good at reading pack dynamics and will always keep a look out to ensure the more sensitive dogs are comfortable, and the higher energy dogs do not over impose. I will always 100% respect your rules surrounding your home and pet, and would politely mention if I feel we are not a good fit.
About: Hi, I’m Andra Rayne! I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, and I can’t imagine a home without them. Over the years, I’ve cared for and trained a wide variety of breeds—from high-energy working dogs to strong, protective companions. I’ve personally raised and trained a Border Collie, known for their intelligence and need for engagement, as well as a Cane Corso from puppyhood, which gave me experience with large, strong-willed breeds. These experiences taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. Whether your pup needs lots of playtime, structured walks, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. I'm currently working weekends, with the occasional optional on-call shift during the week. I have plenty of available time, and the flexibility to make my schedule work for you. I have a fenced yard, as well as a great hiking trail behind my home, or parks and fields for the lower energy pups. I currently have a cane corso, as well as 2 cats, and am able to block off areas in my home (keep my fur babies separate) to ensure your pup feels safe and comfortable.
About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up with golden retrievers, and I’ve been dog-sitting in Nelson for over two years. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and easygoing couch companions, and I enjoy adapting to whatever pace your pup prefers. I love taking dogs out on Nelson’s beautiful trails for fresh air and adventure. Whether your dog wants to sniff every tree or prefers a more relaxed stroll, I’m all about making their time with me tail-waggingly fun! With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to accommodate a wide range of routines, visits, and energy levels. I’m all about making sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away—because every pup deserves to have a good time, even if their human is off doing human things. I am currently working a casual schedule. I am available for morning, afternoon and evening walks! I am available for pet sitting during the week or weekend! I have my own suite that has access to a grassy area out front. I am a few minutes walk to the graveyard trails. Dogs that stay with me will be taken on morning walk, mid afternoon walk and a longer nature walk in the early evenings!

“We LOVED our time at Jessica’s! Hatcher was immediately considered family and went on all the best walks to sniff all the things on the trails. And when he wasn’t playing outside he was doing his favorite activity, snuggling!! Thank you and see you next winter!!!”

About: I've cared for my family's 2 sheepadoodles for 8 years, and consistently watch a cute little chihuahua who loves to play frisbee. I don't have experience in dogs with special needs, but I do have a highly flexible schedule for people that need pet care. I work for myself at home, and can work from anywhere if need be. I love going for walks, and am happy to take your pet out any time of the day. I work completely from home and for myself, so I have no schedule constraints and am available most of the time. I am about as flexible as it gets! I don't have a fenced yard, so pets in my home go for a couple walks. If you have a fenced yard, I throw balls and frisbees till your pet can't go anymore!
“Nicolle took care of Riley for the day and they spent some time walking around the park. My conversation with Nicole was easy and she was very responsive. Riley got a long with her 11 year old Shih Tzu Zoey. Nicolle sent me multiple photos throughout the day.”

About: My goal for your dog while they are staying is for her to feel safe and comfortable. I am able to work with the routine your dog currently has and hopefully make her stay with me feel comfortable but also like a vacation. I’ve had my own dogs for over 15 years and understand how unique and special each one is. I’ve cared for senior dogs and most recently a puppy. I work from home during the week so your dog will have company. Depending on your dog’s exercise requirements, I am able to walk your dog before and after work and at lunch. On the weekends, I usually plan an outing such as a hiking, swimming, or visiting a local park. I have a 1 1/2 year old Labrador retriever who is extremely friendly and would love the company of another dog. I also have a cat. I have a fully fenced backyard for the dogs to play, relax in the sun and for easy bathroom breaks. I’d like to work with you to customize a plan for your dog’s care while she is staying with me
“Super nice couple! Took care of my dog while on a ski trip. Even if my dog require a lot of outdoor time, he get her out multiple time during the day to make sure she's happy! Will definetly contact them again!”

About: I’m an experienced veterinary assistant who loves the outdoors. I have been around animals my whole life and practiced my vet assistant skills by volunteering in Mexico at spay and neuter clinics. I will treat your dog or cat as if they were my own. I have my own vehicle and offer pick-ups/drop-offs. Your pet will be in great hands 😊 I work as the Events Manager at RED Mountain. The best part about this job is we are allowed to bring our dogs to work. I have a 1 year old black lab who comes most days as we go for lunch time walks with the other dogs onsite. I am an early riser, up for walks, always making sure your pet has ample outside time. My house is cozy and clean. I allow pets on my couch/bed, as long as that is the same treatment they get at home.
