Rover has a service fee, which is applied to your client’s total when they book. This fee goes toward marketing to pet parents to help you continually acquire new clients, site and app maintenance, payment processing, 24/7 Rover Support for you and your clients, and much more to support your business.
You can choose when and how often you accept clients on Rover. You can set your training profile as inactive or away, or if you don't want to offer your services on Rover, you can deactivate your profile at any time.
You'll be asked for basic information related to your training business to help you set up a profile. This includes your training credentials, methodology, training photos, what you want to charge, what training bundles you offer, and more information about you as a trainer. There is no cost to sign up.
We require trainers on Rover have dog training credentials, commit to rewards-based training methods, and pass a third-party background check. We do not have a minimum experience requirement.
Trainers that do not meet the requirements will not be able to offer training on Rover.
Yes, Rover is only available to credentialed dog trainers. When you sign up, you will be asked to provide information and documentation for your dog training credentials.
We evaluate and approve dog training certification and education programs to ensure they fit the standards of the Rover marketplace. To be approved, a certification program must follow reward-based training methods.
Once you submit your profile for review, approval usually happens within a few days. You’ll hear from the Rover team when this happens.
Every trainer on Rover must pass a third-party background check. And while there is no single industry standard for dog training, Rover requires trainers to be certified and practice reward-based training methods in order to join.
Trainer profiles also list verified reviews from clients, which are another way to build trust with dog parents and help maintain the integrity of Rover’s training community.
Rover also expects all pet care providers who join our community to adhere to their local laws and regulations.
