From the moment we had our initial meeting, it was evident that Clayton is not just a pet sitter, but a true animal lover, with a genuine passion and talent for making animals feel loved and comfortable. He went above and beyond, and ensuring the well-being and happiness of poppy during her stay. We received daily updates and pictures. “Jacob and his family are wonderful pet sitters! They had Jükka for five nights and I added another night midway through with zero problems! They were so friendly, communicative, and sent photos and updates multiple times a day. Not a worry in the world as I was six states away because I knew they had it all under control. My dog is a big dog and eats three times a day and they were great with any concerns and following his routine. Jükka came home smelling fresh and is a clean and happy boy. Could not recommend them enough! Jükka will definitely be coming back!”

“Darren was great at communicating and very responsive from the very beginning. I loved his messages everyday as if Miriam was writing us, ?. He sent a summary of the day with pictures and videos. His dog, sweet Hunter, matched our dog's energy very well, since our dog prefers calm dogs. Darren has a big fenced backyard for being outside, he also lives in a quiet neighbourhood. Also, the neighbours' dogs are friendly so it gave Miriam a chance to socialize (they communicated through the fence). Darren took good care of her and showed affection. We would definitely go with him and Hunter again! Thank you so much, Darren, :-).”

She is very flexible with drop off and pick up times, and she has lots of experience with rescues like mine, who can be crabby with other dogs and also ornery about coming when called sometimes. Laura has a great doggie door out to her backyard, which my dog learned to use this time—I wish I had one!I If you are looking for a sitter who can handle older dogs and even those with disabilities, she has the needed experience—and I highly recommend her.”

20. Marcella C.
“Being a great dog sitter requires several important qualities and skills. Firstly, you need to have a genuine love and understanding for dogs. This means being patient, compassionate, and able to meet their unique needs. Responsibility is also crucial as you will be entrusted with someone's beloved pet. This includes ensuring their safety, following any instructions given by the owner, and maintaining a routine that the dog is accustomed to. Additionally, being knowledgeable about dog behavior, basic training techniques, and health concerns is important. This allows you to address any issues that may arise and provide the best care possible. Good communication skills are essential when dealing with both the dog and the owner. This involves clearly understanding the owner's expectations, updating them on their pet's well-being, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Flexibility and adaptability are also key as every dog is unique and may require different approaches. Being able to handle different breeds, sizes, and temperaments demonstrates your versatility as a dog sitter. Finally, reliability and professionalism are vital. Arriving on time, respecting the owner's home and property, and handling any emergencies responsibly are all part of being a great dog sitter. By embodying these qualities and continually educating yourself on dog care, you can provide exceptional service as a dog sitter and ensure both the dog and their owner have a positive experience. And this sitter right here knows how to do it all which is why I am giving her 5 stars”
