He was excited to see me, but I could tell he didn’t feel abandoned leaving him with new people overnight. “For as long as I have known Dina as a neighbor (6 years), I have been entranced with her relationships with dogs. Dina's face lights up when she meets a new dog for the first time and just like that they are bonded. When I moved to Napa in 2018, I heard a lot about Alston Dog Park and couldn't wait to experience it. Dina invited me and my Yorkie to go with her the first time. What a Disneyland for dogs and people alike! I don't think Dina ever met a new dog or new breed of dog, large or small, that she didn't fall in love with. She became friends with most of the dog owners she met and often walked their dogs when they could not. She would pick them up and handle them all at Alston Dog Park. Her car is a veritable dog wagon! If you pass her on the road you will see multiple dog faces vying for a viewing position from an open window. And it's not a one-way street with Dina and the dogs she cares for either...the dogs in turn love her. And mind her. And love being cared for at Dina's home. A better care-giver and walker of dogs you won't find than Dina.”

“Cymantha was amazing with our dog, Murphy. He is usually VERY reserved with people he doesn't know (and even some people he knows well), but he was nudging Cymantha and her husband within minutes and playing with both of them. Shortly after leaving him, she sent a photo of him relaxing on the sofa with her. It immediately eased our concerns. She continued to send photos of him having a good time with a new toy and snuggling with them. It was a pleasant surprise to see him so relaxed and happy. He seemed reluctant to leave when we picked him up the next day. We will certainly use Cymantha again in the future. She made him feel welcome and he ended up loving her. Thank you Cymantha!”
