I don't know what else I could have done with two large breed dogs other than a kennel - that wasn't an option after previously using a kennel service and my poor dog came back to us so thin and sad! I dread the thought of ever putting another one of my dogs through that terrible experience - I would rather not take a vacation! We feel very fortunate to have met Miss Mary - a very friendly and loving individually that I would definitely ask to take care of my dogs again, knowing for sure that my dogs are being well cared for. Thank you very much for relieving my family of that area of stress when wanting to get away for awhile. ”

About: I am an experienced animal lover, I have pets of my own as well as fostered lots of pets, and was a long term employee for the human society. I rescued all my cats. Family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors have allowed me to take care of their dogs while they are away. This is a true privilege since you know pets are a special part of our families. I am typically home in the evenings during the week and around and flexible on the weekends with enough prior notice. Since I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a guinea pig and a hamster of my own I enjoy spending quality time with them whenever I can. I do work but pet care can fit into my schedule Monday - Friday early mornings, lunch breaks, and late afternoons. Saturdays and Sundays are open. I will be available to go to your home and care for your pets. I would not prefer to bring any pets to my own home as my pets are very territorial.

Jorie is absolutely amazing…(in case you don’t read any further) This was our first time going out of town and trusting our pup with anyone, so we were quite nervous about this, we stopped by to meet her and from that instance we knew she was right for us, she cuddled and played with him, like he was her very own. When we came back to leave our pup with her she reassured us, that our pup would feel like he was on vacation himself, and she was true to her word….everyday while we were on vacation we received 1,2, and 3 pics from her showing us what a great time he was having…Jorie put us at ease and we couldn’t ask for anyone better…so if you have truly read all this …reach out to her, you won’t find a better person than her, she’s simply amazing.”

About: Looking for a pet sitter that treats your pets like their very own? Well, you found her! From a young age, I have worked with dogs large and small. I have years of experience in pet sitting and training my own dogs throughout my life. I pride myself in being able to let your pets out to potty multiple times a day in my fenced-in yard, encouraging enrichment activities, and letting your pet have a minimum of 60 minutes of exercise per day. I have experience training young puppies and helping older dogs with senior care. I am CPR certified, work at a local pet clinic, and am currently enrolled in dog training courses to become a certified dog trainer! I work full time as a veterinary assistant and stay home Saturday-Monday. Throughout the week, I work 12 hour shifts, but am able to come home for a 45 minute break in between for lunch. Pet care is my life and my schedule works around my pets. As I have a fenced yard and a larger home, I started offering services in my home. I would prefer the dogs that stay in my home be crate trained and preferably potty trained. These can be negotiated if the pet is a senior or does very well and does not have issues with having accidents in the home if left unattended for short periods of time (maximum 6 hours). As for client home visits, I would prefer to keep these to a minimum as I work so far away from quite a bit of the area I service. Pets that stay in my home must be up to date on ALL vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella), CURRENT on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and either dog social or neutral. NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS. (I have experience with reactive dogs, but we will be on a crate and rotate basis with my personal dogs if one were to stay in my home.)

“Nancy and Mark are such a God sent help for us! They did everything possible to help us feel comfortable leaving Champ while we went out of town for our Anniversary. They updated in such a timely manner it put us at ease constantly. Champ has seizures and liver problems so he is on meds and they were very concerned about giving it at the right time!
