Pet care experience
Every pet has their own personality and style, and I am able to adapt to their needs and wants quickly and accordingly. If your pet wants cuddles, they get cuddles. If they prefer space, then they get their space (without negligence, of course). I have cared for a variety of pets, and I feel very comfortable caring for them. I have owned, and also cared for: dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, birds, fish, and even a hedgehog! I am currently a pet-mom of 1 mini-dachshund (Bella) who is now 16 years old, and VERY well-traveled, and a maltese (Molly) we rescued 2 years ago. Both are accepting of new people and animals/"strangers". Bella has but only one eye (due to glaucoma), and Molly has only three teeth (due to neglect). I have 2 cats - Triscuit, who is 15 years, and Ike who is roughly 5 years old. In addition to the dogs and cats, I also have 6 chickens! They're a hoot!! After meeting with me, I am certain you will not be disappointed. I hope to hear from you soon, and thank you in advance for entrusting me with the care of your fur baby.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large, fenced-in back yard, with lots of room to run around. I also have a large sun-room that is heated and cooled, and everyone has access to in the event the weather is inclimate, but they still want to "be outside". If you prefer your fur baby to be indoors, I am fine with that as well. As for cats, please keep in mind that I do have cats. Both are males, both are neutered, only one is declawed. Both are pretty chill for the most part. If your cat prefers a more quiet and isolated area, I can provide that for them. I totally understand cats and their tendency to be silly from time to time. Our cat, Bawkie, who is no longer with us, preferred to be out in the garage most of the time. We had her litter box out there for when she needed to go potty, and she would come inside the house long enough to eat her food and socialize for about 33 minutes, and then wanted to go back out there. No clue why. She was just a silly cat sometimes. Hahaaha! Ike prefers the front porch and the roof of my car when he is outside, and Triscuit prefers the back patio and my husband's workshop. I would also like to note that I do live on a fairly busy road, and I have neighbors who have animals as well. Every dog in the neighborhood is in a fenced yard though. So, no worries there. There is a neighborhood cat that we all love and care for - Henry. We had him neutered, and he is fed often. That said, we all strongly suggest you just keep your distance when he's around. He isn't aggressive, but he is skittish and can bite due to being scared. That's all I can really think of. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Information Wendi C. would like to know about your pet
I would love to meet with you and your pet prior to any agreements being made, that way we all are familiar with one another. I do not have any breed preference, but I am not comfortable with dogs who like to bite/are aggressive. I also would like to point out that I am petite. Because of this, I'm not certain I can care for a large animal who has high-energy.
A typical day
I will take your pet on walks where you prefer me to take them. If you don't have a preference, I am sure to find a place that is safe, and fun!
