Pet care experience
I absolutely love animals, but living in New York City unfortunately means we’re limited when it comes to live-in pets. My fiancé and I want the ability to care for other pets along with our rescue pup, Pip, who we love dearly. Pip is a Beagle and Collie rescue and we also have two small kitties I've had since college. (Don't worry about space, our home is a two bedroom, two bath so everyone has plenty of room to roam!) I have the most experience with small dogs, particularly Dachshunds, Poodles, and Chihuahuas, but I am open to caring for any breed as long as they are of medium size. I’m also happy to care for senior dogs or those who have special needs. My past experience caring for animals was fostering cats while I was in college and I’ve volunteered in shelters in upstate New York. Being a dog mom myself, I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone new so I always try my best to make your pet feel at home and make you feel at ease with as many (or as few) updates as you want so that you know your pup is well cared for while you’re away. We live in the dog- and family-friendly Upper East Side and I'd love to take your pup to Central Park, which is just a few blocks away, local pup-friendly restaurants, or just relax and cuddle up on the couch. I also like to work with pups and reinforce their training and reward them with treats for good leash walking, sitting and staying, and generally good behavior!. I would like to accept sleepover guests for the weekends, unless I am working from home, which would mean that weekdays are fine, too. I currently work in advertising downtown.
Reviews
Taylor and her family are awesome! Jackson received a lot of attention. I received updates and feedback.
Taylor was fantastic, and I would use her again in a heartbeat! She was very communicative and provided a good stream of pictures, which put me at ease. Pip is a fun pup, and their apartment is a lovely place for a doggo getaway.
Taylor is so kind and was amazing with my dog Benji. She sent me a ton of photos, which is so reassuring when you have to leave your dog for the night! She took him on several nice walks, including to Central Park. I can also tell he loved playing with her dog Pip. I will 100% use Taylor again as a dog sitter!!!
I was of course nervous to leave my 6mo old pup for a whole weekend, but Taylor was great, and even managed Penny’s ear medication perfectly. I will not be nervous to leave Penny with her again!?

Information Taylor R. would like to know about your pet
Whether you’re looking for someone to drop in on your pup or have them stay with us for a sleepover, I don’t have any breed preferences, but I do ask that if they are staying at our place that they are a medium-sized pup. I’m happy to care for senior dogs or those with special needs and I like to know about your dog’s daily routine, how much exercise they need, how they are around other dogs and in public places and anything else that will help me provide the best possible care for them. I’m also happy to work with your pup on any training you would like them to receive.

We live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and are close to Central Park, which is one of the best places in the world to take a walk! We can also head over to the East River, Carl Schurz dog park where we can play fetch, or one of the neighborhood’s pup-friendly restaurants. There will also be plenty of time to cuddle on the couch. We can also spend time working on training and tricks that your owner wants you to master!
