Pet care experience
I have been dog-walking independently for the past 5 years and have returned to Rover to expand my clientele. I am passionate about exercise and the great outdoors and love having canine companions along with me to enjoy the experience. Your dog's safety while out and about is my main priority. I also pride myself in keeping prompt and frequent communication with pet-owners so you can rest assured your dog is being well cared for.

Tara did a great job dropping in to take care of my kitty while I was away! She sent lots of picture updates and my shy kitty even came out to play with her. I came home to bowls of clean water and fresh food. I will definitely use Tara again when I'm going out of town and can't take my fur baby with me.
I go out of town often and Tara is always willing to spend time with my main squeeze, my cat Chuck, while I'm away. She's friendly, professional, and really goes above and beyond with her services.. she doesn't even mind cleaning out the litter box! She'll always be my go-to gal when it comes to a pet sitter. Highly recommend.
Tara is an awesome dog walker and I highly recommend her! She was able to handle all 3 of my dogs (2 huskies and a border collie) without any issues. Now I have some happy, sleepy doggies. ??

Staying alert, being aware of my surroundings, monitoring the outside temperature, and assuring that your dog's leash/harness is secure at all times is something I take very seriously. Making sure your home is securely locked while coming and going is also a high priority.

During our meet-and-greet I will determine if I will be a good fit for your and your pet(s). I will not walk highly untrained or aggressive dogs. I will not perform drop-in visits for dogs that are being left inside without supervision for long periods of time.
A typical day
Depending on the length of visit, I can generally squeeze in about a 1-mile long walk in your neighborhood. On regular visits I tend to venture on different routes to determine the safest and most comfortable path. For cats, I will make sure they are fed, watered, litter box scooped, and medications are administered if needed. For the duration of the visit, I will simply be present with your cats, playing and providing tons of petties if they'll let me.
