My passion for animals came from when I adopted my dog from a shelter 4 years ago! Actually, all of my pets are adopted. My husky/pit Josephine and my domestic short hair Shiloh were adopted from the same shelter in San Marcos. Then lastly my Chow was also adopted, he’s actually my boyfriends dog but I just see him as part of my pack now. I have grown up around all kinds of animals! We use to go to a family friends ranch in Bandera and visit the horses, goats, and chickens all the time. I would get to go for rides with the horses and help brush them. It was a core childhood memory that I wish I still have photos from. I never thought this would be a career for me before I met Jo at the shelter but I wouldn’t have it any other way now! I just moved to Austin recently and signed up to volunteer at Austin pets alive. I’ve also spent free time volunteering and donating at local houston shelters. What sets me a side from boarding facilities? - Your dog gets to sleep and play in the comfort of their own home - Attention solely on your fur babies during your booking - Consistent text updates and pictures during entirety of stay - Hikes, lakes, & park trips included, if behaviorally applicable - No time limit on playtime or affection - Free grooming for nonaggressive breeds, if pre-booked ahead of stay What sets me apart from other Rover providers? - I have pet sitter insurance - I am dog and cat CPR and first aid certified - I am currently enrolled in taking dog trainer classes (to learn their behavioral patterns better) - I have 5+ years of Pet experience - I spend my free time advocating for pets by volunteering at local shelters - I am a full-time pet sitter, so I have open availability and more flexibility for last minute request - I have experience with more than just cats and dogs - Willing to travel wherever for your for babies needs - Willing to take on aggressive breeds, critical medical conditions, etc. when given ample info and time to adjust Putting your fur baby in my care while you are gone, will be the happiest your pet can be while you are away! Susan was very sweet when we did a meet and greet and made sure my pup was comfortable. We’ve never been away from our pup as long as this trip and Susan was great about sending pictures and keeping us updated every day. She will definitely be our new go to on rover.

A typical day
Since this is my full time job I am a pretty active person! I love taking my dogs on hikes at Barton springs, mueller farmers market and browse or have a chill time at multiple parks. We even go to canyon lake for a swim sometimes when it’s not unbearably hot. If it’s rainy or too cold we do brain games inside; like puzzles, hide treats and seek or simply just playing with toys and running around! And of course snuggles and movie days because who doesn’t love those!
