Dog & Cat Lover Here to Help
Pet care experience
Hi there! I am a 30 year old nursing student who would love to care for your pet(s)! I have two cats and a doggie of my own, and I love animals of all shapes and sizes. Pet sitting is not just a job for me, it’s something I enjoy, which is why I’ve been actively pet sitting on rover since 2014. As a pet owner, I understand the stresses of leaving your pet(s) and home with someone new, which is why I find it so important to communicate with clients and provide daily details and photos. I have experience with pups of all sizes, so it's no problem if your dog is large, small, or right in the middle! I also have been trained to administer medications (oral and subcutaneous injections) to both dogs and cats, so any medical or food specifications can be handled easily. I have experience with cats and dogs from the age 12 weeks to 25 years old! Senior pets are a specialty of mine.
Reviews
Another great experience with Stephanie! She’s the absolute best on Rover!
We are sooo grateful for Stephanie to be able to house sit for our rough collie, Penny. We feel so comfortable being able to travel knowing that Stephanie is watching Penny at home. She sends the best pics of Penny to keep us updated throughout the trip and most importantly, takes the absolute best care of Penny. Thank you, Stephanie 🙏
We know we can travel and leave Penny in the absolute best of hands with Stephanie. Extremely reliable, great communication, and just all around the best. Penny loves Stephanie and we are so appreciative of her every time. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Stephanie is the absolute best! Trust her 100%!

Safety, trust & environment
In regard to your home, I understand the importance of treating it with the utmost respect. I am a tidy person so keeping things as they were is something I give precedence to. I also don't mind bringing in the mail, and watering the plants!
Information Stephanie R. would like to know about your pet
Some things I like to know about new clients: 1. Is your pet spayed/neutered and up to date on shots? 2. Is your pet on any medications? 3. Does your pet have a daily feeding schedule? Free fed? 4. What amount of exercise is your pet used to? 5. Does your pet have any particular dislikes (ie. thunder)? 7. Can your pet have treats? 8. Is there anything else I should know (ie. allergies or special needs)?
A typical day
A day with your pet will vary depending on their needs. Keeping their routine as close to normal as possible is important. Of course, I am not you, so I can never fill your shoes as “mom” or “dad”, but by keeping their routine close to normal, I can minimize the stress of you being away. It is also helpful to learn about the places where your dog most likes to go for walks, in addition to their schedule, because it allows them to enjoy the familiarity of their normal environment even when you’re not home.

Availability
Keeping your pet calm and happy is my main priority. In order to reduce stress and make your pet comfortable, it is important that I keep their routine as close to normal as possible, so please feel free to provide details of your pets' routine with as many specifications as you would like. I like to provide dogs with their optimal amount of exercise as well, to help keep them stress free.
