Pet care experience
I invite you and your pet(s) in my home or if you prefer at your home. As a past foster parent, dog and rat owner, horse and cow caretaker and dog and cat sitter, I know the importance of finding a good caretaker. I also know the individualized care that is required for each and every pet. Pets are an important part of our lives and we're here to make sure they stay happy and healthy when we are forced to be away from them. About this sitter: Hello! Are you looking for someone to take care of your pet as good as you do while you're away? Well, I can say, we are happy to do just that. Since I was a kid I've loved animals. In particular dogs. And from early on in my life I've been trusted with the care of my own dog, and neighbors, friends, strangers and relatives dogs, cats and rats. I've worked as a farm care taker for horses, cows, sheep and goats. And I've also fostered several cats and kittens. And finally, I've volunteered with shelters in Boise, ID and Asheville, NC. So I recognize the individualized care needed for each animal of all sizes and ages. I also understand the importance of finding a responsible person who will not only feed and walk your pet, but also give them the attention they deserve while you're away. On a final note, I live with two other people, my partner, Sara and our roommate Michael. Sara helps me out with most all of the pets that come into our house. She helps walk and feed them and I update her on all the pertinent pet information. Sara has had a lot of experience with pets, owning several cats and dogs herself. And with her help there is somebody in the house most hours of the day. Michael generally stays out of the pet business, but does love playing with all the animals that come into our house. If you have any concerns about having multiple caretakers, please let me know. If you are interested in contacting me, please do not hesitate. I would be happy to answer any questions and meet with you and your pet to see if we are a good match together. All the best, Stephanie Why I love dog sitting Ever since I was a child, which is probably a common answer. Up until I was 14 I was not allowed to have a dog, so I would always go over the neighbors house and play with their pets - cats and dogs and birds alike - and eventually they all trusted me to start pet sitting. As a pre-teen and teen instead of baby sitting I pet sat. Even after I got a dog for my family's home, I continued to love all the animals on the street and eventually far from my neighborhood. About my yard I have a half fenced in back yard. The open part leads to an a grassy alley that is mainly used for dogs to play fetch in. The yard itself is about 15x35 feet with a small slope. My experience administering medication Yes. I've pet-sat cats with diabetes and dogs with seizures. One of which required shots the other sometimes non-oral medication.
Reviews
Thanks for feeding my fat cats, Stephanie!!
Stephanie did a great job!
Sarah, Stephanie's partner, came for a meet and greet in advance. They've only walked our pupper once so far, but everything seemed to go really well! Looking forward to setting more walks up!
Stephanie (and Sara) were great. They stayed at our house with our dog for 4 days. Everything was exactly as we left it and our dog Stella was so much happier than when we have to board her. Would definitely book again. Thanks ladies!

Information Stephanie D. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences - How comfortable with groups of people? Kids? Other animals? Other dogs? Cars? Bikes? - Are they food aggressive? - Are you working on any specific training? - What are their walking habits? - Do they dislike certain parts of their body touched? (I've met dogs who hate their ears being touched or having faces close to theirs)
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I would take your dog for a walk in the places you feel most comfortable. If you don't mind dog parks, we'll go to Frick Park, or the Lawrenceville dog run. Or if you like your dog staying close to home, then we'll explore there. It's all up to the owner and the dog. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where ever the dog and owner feel comfortable. I love dogs in my bed, but some dogs prefer finding their own space. It's up to them, but they are welcome most anywhere. Time I'll spend with your dog 15-19 hours is what I can commit to being home. And I love walks so about 2 hours of walks.
