Mary Poppins, for your pets! ☂️

Pet care experience

Hi Everyone! ☀️ Details for specific service types are now at the bottom. I can’t wait to discuss all your pet care needs! I’m currently a Nursing Student (Tuesday/Thursday evenings), and also a dog/cat momma myself. Nezumi came into my life one year ago as an eight week old rescue from Mexico. I have gone through the puppy blues, the teenage angst, the “why is there pee all over the kitchen” days…and oh boy - it is a lot! Which is why I am here to help! I know how incredibly hard it can be to worry about your pups/cats while you’re at work, and it can seem like you’ll never take a vacation again. That doesn’t have to be the case! I have five years of professional experience with animals (goats, cats horses etc), and a lifetime of being raised with pets of all sizes. My summer school was my family’s doggy daycare, so “disgusting-dog-stuff” is basically my specialty! I’m very experienced with senior dogs: including speciality diets, medication (topical, eye drops, oral, injection, etc.), and mobility aid. Reactivity? Don’t even worry about it - you aren’t alone. I use force-free methods for all training (including desensitization) and have had no issues with 100+ pound dogs, all I ask is for a heads up beforehand. I am happy to work with your pup on leash manners and basic obedience during our walks and drop-ins as well!

As a long time Rover sitter, this was my first experience on the other side of this service and I have only positive things to say about Solace. She was warm and communicative from Meet & Greet through visits. She took time to make sure that my sometimes anxious dog felt comfortable and able to relax and sent personal updates that made it clear that she was t just phoning it it. I highly recommend Solace as a pet sitter.

Solace is just the best! I would hire her again in a heartbeat, I cannot recommend her enough! She was my dog’s first Rover sitter and I’m so grateful for how stress free she made the entire experience. As a new dog owner I had a bit of anxiety about hiring a pet sitter but it was clear from the start that Solace loved animals and that she and my dog were going to be fast friends. Additionally, Solace took time to answer all of my questions in a kind, thoughtful, and professional manner that I really appreciated. All of the cute photo updates and visit notes were incredible as well, seeing how good of a time my dog was having with her really put me at ease while I was away. So, in summary, booking Solace again would be an easy decision! We highly recommend her! Big ol’ paw print stamps of approval ✨🐾✨

Solace has been a life saver!!! She has been extremely patient and flexible with us. Not to mention our pup, Harley, loves her! In the short amount of time she spends for the drop ins she still manages to do so much with Harley which is so so appreciated considering how much energy our dog has! Solace is so kind and sweet and definitely my go to!!! ❤️

In my client’s home I practice respect first and foremost. Even friendly pets have bad days, and even normal days have bad moments! I will always respect your pet’s needs and boundaries, and adapt to work around them.

Information Solace B. would like to know about your pet

When sending a request, it is helpful to get a brief idea of any specific needs or quirks your pets may have. Including reactive triggers, potty training troubles, whether they are crated, etc. As well as what’re you’re looking for in a visit, do they need a walk? Meal time? Medication? If it’s too big of a hassle to write it all down, we can certainly call or schedule a meet and greet!

A typical day

Drop-Ins: For drop-in clients I offer a fifteen minute walk (optional), as well as indoor play. This always means different things for different dogs! For higher energy dogs this could be a whole lot of frisbee, for lower energy dogs this could be some comfort cuddles and couch time. I always give fresh water, and I’m happy to give pups their meals as needed. Dog Walking: Walking, walking, walking! I try my best to maximize the time outdoor for these pups. This means minimal indoor activities, but I do always get fresh water and let pups settle off for a few minutes when we get back. I am happy to work with dogs in all different stages of training! House-Sitting: For house-sitting, I maximize the amount of time I can spend in the client’s home. I set aside night-time hours from 10:00PM-7:00AM as “quiet time”. Meaning uninterrupted rest time for the pups/kitties. During the day, my schedule is often dependent on the drop-in bookings and class for that day. I currently have classes from 4:30PM-8:30PM Tuesdays and Thursdays. I do my best to match the current schedule that is set in the house (e.g walks after breakfast at 9:00AM, yard time at 12:00) and usually have some flexibility in my daytime schedule! Please reach out with your dates and I will go over specifics. Cat Jobs: I looove my cat time! For an average drop in for cats, usually the first thing is a little bit of bonding time. Every cat is very different, and for some cats this can take 10 seconds before they’re ready to play - and others it might be multiple days! The top three things for me are cleaning the litter box, getting them fresh water, and refilling food bowls. The rest will depend on what the kitto is up for!
