Pet care experience
I'm a friend of all dogs, recently retired from a 30+ year military career in the British Royal Navy. I now live and work from home in a lovely, modern apartment in Alexandria (Alexan Florence). My workday is very flexible and typically ends at noon, as I wake early and work on British time. I walk everywhere and make sure to get my 10,000 steps a day...I'd love to have your dog along with me.

My apartment building is very pet friendly and there are safe places to walk right outside. Any dog in my care would be with me the entire time. My apartment is about 600 sq ft and without clutter. Your dog will also enjoy sweeping views of the Potomac from the 4th floor!

My preference is for small dogs that have some house training, but, equally, can also very happily accept characterful dogs that show a little mischief!
A typical day
We will have a nice walk out and about and, if needs be, either go to the riverfront or to one of the public parks nearby.

Availability
I do travel with my current job for about 10 days/month which means I cannot have my own pets, so dog sitting is ideal. I will spoil your dog with lots of affection, walks and play!
