We welcome your dog to our Cleveland Park home!

Pet care experience

My husband, I and our Cavapoo welcome your dog to our spacious non-smoking, 1-bedroom apartment conveniently located between Cleveland Park and Woodley Park. If you're nervous about leaving your dog at a large boarding facility, we are your best alternative option. We provide personal and detailed care that is tailored to your pup's needs and preferences in a safe and lovable environment of our home. Rock Creek Park is nearby and the Tregaron Conservancy is literally our "backyard" where we go on daily walks in the morning, afternoon and evening on the beautiful trail. Our perfect match is a house-trained dog who by nature is quiet, friendly, easy-going and not aggressive with other dogs. Yoona, our 4-year old Cavapoo is sweet and affectionate and would love some company during the day. We are also available for temporary daycare if you're in town for work or visiting family in DC and want to hit the museums. I will send regular updates with photos during your dog's stay so that you will be worry-free. Check out our "Past Stays" and you'll see how much fun our furry guests have at our home! We also offer a pick-up/drop-off service if needed.

Tallulah loved her stay with Sarah, I could tell because she wasn't as excited to see me as usual. They went on long walks, took lots of photos and it really seemed like Tallulah was treated like one of Sarah's own dogs. I would definitely use her again.

Our dog, Penny, had a great stay with Sarah, Tony and Yoona. Penny is older and can be nervous around more active dogs, but she was completely comfortable with Yoona. We will definetly have Penny visit again!!

Thanks again for a wonderful stay! Valletta was so well cared for and we were able to enjoy a nice getaway knowing that Sarah and her Yoona were with her.

I was worried that my little pup would miss his mom and dad after we left him. I envisioned him curling up on the front door mat and pouting because his best friends in the world had abandoned him. From the many pictures that Sarah sent, it was clear that my fears were unfounded. He was in good hands and clearly had a good time. What I did not count on was him having so much fun that, after we got home, he laid on the front mat, pining away for his new buddy Yoona. It was a great experience not having to worry about Remi, and we look forward to leaving our little monster with Sarah and Yoona again.

Why I love dog sitting We are a dog-loving duo. I grew up with a Yorkshire Terrier for fifteen years and as for my husband, our Cavapoo is a total daddy's girl! We will make every effort to make sure your dog feels comfortable and happy at our home and will treat him/her as our own :)

Information Sarah K. would like to know about your pet

We prefer small breeds (up to 25lbs) with a friendly and gentle temperament. Our dog also gets along with senior or shy dogs who prefer to have some personal space. Must be *fully* trained to go outside for potty at all times (we don't allow training pads in the house). We will not be able to accommodate puppies (less than 1-yr-old), aggressive or high-energy dogs because our dog won't do well with them. Also no "barkers" as we live in a condo. We'd like to get as much helpful and detailed information as possible regarding your dog's care and daily routine and whatever else you might think is important for your dog. Meet and greets are usually required to ensure all parties know what to expect and to make sure our dogs can get along. Also, please make sure your dog's vaccinations are up-to-date!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Yes, three times a day (plus a bathroom break before bedtime). Each walk is about a half hour to one hour around the neighborhood and we often go on longer walks on the trail and play fetch in the field when the weather is nice. If your dog needs less exercise, we can accommodate that as well. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever your dog finds comfort - on our sofa, bedroom, dog bed or crate. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home so your dog will have company throughout the day. If your dog suffers from separation anxiety or need frequent bathroom breaks, this is your ideal place.
