Prior Military Dog Handler

Pet care experience

Growing up in Columbus, Ohio my family had about every possible animal the suburban area and neighbors would tolerate. Years later I would find myself becoming a dog handler for three years of a gorgeous and yet vicious Belgian Malinois. I received training and was certified by Vohne Liche Kennels in Denver, Indiana. Presently, I am in the process of reestablishing myself in Savannah and pets are part of that picture, not including my kids.😊🤣😆 I am currently on active duty stationed in the Savannah area. My intent is to to maximize my free time with helping others take care of what they care dearly about in their absence. My availability is rather variable, but commonly I do have some long term longevity. Currently at this time I am renting and will not be able to provide home services. However, I am able and willing to come to your home and/or provide your pets a like home experience as reasonably feasible.

Ryan has been a dog person since the day I met him. He took awesome care of Bonnie. He wanted more space for her to roam on a deployment so we built her an enclosure so she could run free. We would come off a mission and Bonnie and him would be passed out next to each other. Ryan would be an excellent dog caregiver. He has the training of the military but the heart of child. Everybody should feel comfortable having Ryan care for their dog.

I was on a tour in Afghanistan with Ryan and worked with him in Germany for some time. During this time, Ryan was what we in the military call a 'dog handler'. In other words, he trained a dog and took care of her from a young age. His dog's name was Bonnie, an energetic female Belgium Malinois, whom we all adored. Ryan treated Bonnie with the utmost care and had a genuine connection with her that was awesome to witness and made us all safer. My team was and remains incredibly grateful for how Ryan trained and watched over Bonnie, as she detected explosives for us on numerous occasions, potentially saving our lives. I have no doubt that Ryan would treat anyone's furry friend with the same respect, dedication, and caring heart that he extended to Bonnie.
