Pet care experience
I grew up in a household that always had 3 dogs and one or two cats. I've also had turtles and a tortoise, and I currently have a black cat named Winston. I just lost my most recent dog in the beginning of August 23' due to old age and muscle deterioration. I am currently working towards my dream of having a little ranch with some chickens, a horse, barn cats and maybe some sheep. I just love animals!!

So kind and loving to our pups! Thanks for taking such great care of them!
Rowan was absolutely amazing! Not only did she take my baby last minute, she also made sure he was well taken care of and had plenty of play time while there. My baby is full of energy so when he came home and knocked out I knew immediately he had a ball! Will definitely be coming again
Since finding Rowan I'm able to go out of town without feeling guilty about leaving my dog. She absolutely is the best and recommend 100%. I have used her time and time again and never have been worried.
Highly recommend!! Just picked my fur babies up and they’ve been well cared for. Plenty of pics and updates. My boy Brody is an attention hound (can be a little annoying), but he was taken care of! I’m so thankful for Rowan and her lovely family.❤️

I would care for your pet by firstly making sure their basic needs are met - food and water and the potty. Then I would see what mood they're in- playful, tired, excited, anxious, etc., and give them the appropriate amount of attention that they're feeling. I love to play with animals but will not force them if they're not feeling it. Same with walkies, if they're feeling a long one it's cool, if they seem over heated or tired or grouchy, we would probably head back. In my home I take care of your pet as if they were my own. I deeply care for animals and give them a lot of attention to make sure they don't get anxious or nervous and are having a good time.

Information Rowan S. would like to know about your pet
It is very important for me to know if the dog has any specific triggers or things that he/she does not like so that I can avoid them. Knowing their behaviors when they are agitated is important as well so that I can make sure to keep it a fun environment for them. I do know dog body language, but we all know that dogs are also individuals with their own personalities so some may have a different way of manifesting emotions than others.
A typical day
What I would do with the dogs depends on their mood and energy levels at the time. If they're feeling very energetic and need to get the wiggles out, I could play fetch with them, play on the floor with them, teach them how to high five, I could also teach them to sit if they are receptive to learning. When going on walks, I try to make sure that if it's sunny, we go somewhere that has some shade. I don't mind walking around on sidewalks as long as it's not too hot. Also, I will supply bags for poop scooping and dispose of that appropriately. At my home, I follow whatever feeding regimine you have in place for your dogs. They get outside time first thing in the morning and before bed, and weather permitting, good stretches in the afternoon too. I also sit outside with them or inside the garage kennel space and play with them for long stretches, or just keep them company on a couch or floor if they're tired or in a more cuddly mood.

I currently work 7 to 3:30 Monday through Friday at a public school, so I am free anytime outside of that for walkies and check ins as well as boarding! I have a 2 acre property with a fenced in back yard, as well as a temperature controlled garage with kennel space. Dogs are turned out to the backyard several times a day, and weather permitting they can stay out for hours. I spend a lot of time with them when they first arrive to make sure they're comfortable and so I get an idea of their energy level and temperament. Depending on how many dogs are in the home at one time, they may also be allowed inside the main part of the house for some couch time and snuggles.
