Pet care experience
I’m a total dog lover in a dog loving family that is currently without a dog of our own. I helped take care of our family cockapoo and yorkie for over 15 years. They have passed on and my family is caring for other folks’ dogs as our own in the meantime. In addition to our two previous dogs, I have experience watching various dogs including miniature poodles, a Labrador retriever, a beagle mix, and a bernipoo. I host the dogs at my parents’ house, which has a fenced in yard with a good-sized lawn and pool. We have a high adult: dog ratio (we only take 1 client at a time), so there will be plenty of belly rubbers, walkers, and tug-o-war partners for your pup! My parents often join the dogs and me for exercise and couch time. They'll also help out by taking cute pics to share with you. My partner, my brother, and my brother's partner all also may be around to give your pup extra attention.

Rebecca and her family were so kind and loving. They went above and beyond with my anxious little dog. They made my last minute trip so easy… knowing my dog would be taken care of in a loving home environment without the added stress of other dogs. Rebecca kept me informed with texts and pictures. I would love for Rosie Roo to stay with Rebecca again. :)
Chanel and Milo always had so much fun when they stayed with Rebecca and her family. Lots of updates and pictures. They took very good care of our dogs. It's a vacation for them while we are away.

We have a fenced yard. We customize the visit based on the dog and owner's comfort levels. For example, if your dog is dog reactive and you generally do neighborhood walks with a change of direction upon seeing another dog, we'll do the same. If you prefer we do all the exercise in the yard, we can do that too. If your dog is reactive to animals on TV, we'll limit the nature documentaries/dog shows we watch while your pup is with us.

What are your pet's favorite activities? What is your pet's normal routine? Is your dog leash trained? How does your dog do with other dogs? - My brother (lives in SF) has a playful ~1.5 year old (as of Oct 2022), ~20 lb chihuahua/poodle mix, Dewey. If your dog's stay spans days when Dewey will be around, we'll want to make sure the dogs get along with each other.
A typical day
We'll do what the dog most enjoys! We'll go on walks and hikes at local spots. We'll hang out in the yard - giving the dog time to sniff the various scents & play together with toys. Then, we'll relax together on the couch.

Availability
I primarily do Rover on the weekends and holidays when I can fully dedicate myself to the dogs I am watching. During the week I generally work at the office and my parents are home. If we have your dog on a weekday, we can take them on 1 walk per day and lots of affection throughout the day. On the weekends, we are able to do more exercise and outings with your dog.
